Fights of the Day: Frank Mir vs. Hardonk + Vera

Frank Mir‘s last two fights in the UFC lasted just 77 and 69 seconds; one went well, one went not-so-well. Either tap your opponent early or get punched out just as quickly — those are pretty much Frank’s options on Saturday.

(Frank Mir vs. Antoni Hardonk, UFC 74, 8/25/07)

(Frank Mir vs. Brandon Vera, UFC 65, 11/18/06)

judging from a recent interview...Mir has a great attitude...and doesn't appear to be the least bit worried.

kinda looks like the pressure might be getting to Lesnar...seems a bit uneasy during interviews.

wife out with friends...just me and the dogs at home...might have to cough up the $40 for this one....naaaaaaaaaaa...just follow the CP blog!

What an amazing difference between the two videos. Frank looks 10x better in the second, he had come back too early after his accident. He still has to come even better if he wants to beat Lesnar, which I think he absolutely will.

I love watching the thai clinch. Especially the thai clinch a la Anderson Silva/Rich Franklin. In that case its also known as the deer in the headlights defense. I could just hear Rich saying, well screaming UNCLE, UNCLE

It is absolutely hilarious watching people trying to squirm out of a well secured thai clinch. just waiting and waiting and squirming, just knowing the teeth losing knee is coming
