Five UFC 127 Prelim Fights Will Be Aired for Free on ION and Facebook

(Hold on to your asses: Jason “Coked Out Steve Carell” Reinhardt vows to make it chaotic for Tiequan Zhang. Props:

Directly before this Saturday’s pay-per-view broadcast of UFC 127: Penn vs. Fitch, you’ll be able to watch five of the event’s seven prelim fights absolutely free of charge — assuming you use Facebook and your cable package includes the ION network. The action begins at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET on, which will feature a live stream of Anthony Perosh vs. Tom Blackledge and Jason Reinhardt vs. Tiequan Zhang.

Then at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET, the fights move to Ion Television for a live broadcast of Nick Ring vs. Riki Fukuda, James Te-Huna vs. Alexander Gustafsson, and Ross Pearson vs. Spencer Fisher.

At this point, the only bouts that won’t be guaranteed TV time are Mark Hunt vs. Chris Tuchscherer and Maciej Jewtuszko vs. Curt Warburton — and since either of those fights could end in a short, violent stoppage, you may see them pop up in the pay-per-view broadcast. The complete lineup of UFC 127 is after the jump.

Main Card (PPV)
B.J. Penn vs. Jon Fitch [WW]
Michael Bisping vs. Jorge Rivera [MW]
George Sotiropoulos vs. Dennis Siver [LW]
Chris Lytle vs. Brian Ebersole [WW]
Kyle Noke vs. Chris Camozzi [MW]

Preliminary Card
Ion TV: Ross Pearson vs. Spencer Fisher [LW]
Ion TV: James Te-Huna vs. Alexander Gustafsson [LHW]
Ion TV: Nick Ring vs. Riki Fukuda [MW] Anthony Perosh vs. Tom Blackledge [LHW] Tie Quan vs. Jason Reinhardt [FW]
Mark Hunt vs. Chris Tuchscherer [HW]
Maciej Jewtuszko vs. Curt Warburton [LW]

Note: The local start time for UFC 127 will be 11 a.m. on February 27th in Sydney, Australia. That’s still Saturday night in North America, so don’t get confused.

you guys are shit, you don't enjoy watching Chris Lytle fights, or you didn't enjoy Ross Pearson vs Cole Miller? that fight was awesome, Ross Pearson is a tough dude. The guy with the alienhead from WEC is fighting on the prelims, we hopefully get to see bisping get smashed, there's a lot to look forward to. not even to mention sotiropolous, one of the brightest jiujitsu prospects in the sport

Last card blew chunks, and I thought it was going to be awesome. Silva vs Belfort was the most boring fight ever until the knockout. This one's supposed to be shit, because it doesn't have jon jones in it laying on people, but I see it being good, because you guys are always wrong you fucks

The best reason to buy this card was Lytle vs. Condit. Now that fight is off, I'm only mildly interested in Penn vs. Fitch, but I don't know if I'm $50 interested. Especially with the time difference.

This card is shit except for Penn vs Fitch, but I'll buy any card that BJ is on, so enjoy giving my $50 to Snoop Dogg so he can buy some gin and juice Dana White.

yeah, this is a pretty weak card--really not much to look forward to until UFC 129.

According to every other site I've read, the Ring/Fukuda fight is NOT on the Ion prelims.

They need to not make me pay for this pile of crap they call a card.
Danky4twanky- February 22, 2011 at 3:44 pm
They need to put the ppv in hd on comcast. It's bullshit I pay 45 bucks to watch the fights in worse quality than I watch the free prelims
Dynamo- February 22, 2011 at 3:35 pm
They need to get on a real HD network..
