As for Money’s criticisms of MMA, what can you say, really? There’s some people who will never appreciate our sport because it’s done by shoeless people in a cage, and because an MMA match has less rounds than boxing, and because the only thing in the world that requires skill is punching, and because MMA was invented by frustrated white boxers, apparently. When the criticisms are lobbed by boxers themselves, or people who discuss boxing for a living, you can’t really take it too personally.

Boxing is great, but the "sport of boxing" is not about fighting. It's about money. The love of money was the axe at its root. MMA is about honor, bragging rights, determination and intestinal fortitude. Soon, however, MMA will be all about money too. Maybe 5-10 years, I would guess. Then MMA will be lame. A small handful of talented fighters will demand huge paychecks to fight once a year, if that. Enjoy it boys... these are the golden years.

is he serious? does he realize, rather than focusing on hurting someone with two hands, mma focuses on the ENTIRE body. mayweather seems a little jealous id say. all the mma fighters are takin attention off of boxing, because boxing is obsolete. he made an appearance on wwe.... enough said... he wants money... thats it.. if mayweather was to fight ANYONE in the ufc, i am sure he would lose,.. a VERY skilled boxer is useless on his back or on the ground. a moderately skilled mma fighter, is usefull, everywhere. mayweather, way to look like an ignorant, jealous, coward. get in the cage or at least train for the cage, and see how skilled you really are... pretty pathetic that a "white beer drinker" would fuck your "talented black" ass up if you ever grew the balls to get in the cage.. seriously... i would bet money i could choke mayweather out within seconds.
