Forrest Griffin and Little Nog Added to UFC 113 in Montreal

(‘Lastly, I’d like to thank the good people at Fisher-Price for finally making an award that isn’t a choking hazard. I’m just saying, it’s about time, you know?’)

The date of UFC 113 have shifted just a bit, but the fight card keeps getting better.  As reported earlier today, a light heavyweight scrap between Forrest Griffin and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira has been added to the Montreal event.  Griffin’s coming off his decision victory over Tito Ortiz at UFC 106, and Little Nog smoked Luis Cane in his UFC debut on the undercard of the same event, so these two are both on the upswing with exactly the same amount of rest time, give or take an hour.

Your presence at this website suggests that you’re probably enough of an MMA fan (or misguided potato fetishist) that we don’t have to tell you this, but this is an excellent fight.  Griffin is still trying to erase the memory of the drubbing he received from Anderson Silva, and Nogueira is trying to continue a win streak that is six fights long and counting, so both these guys have plenty at stake.  In a perfect world they could both have their way.  Ours is not a perfect world, my friends, but it is an interesting one at times.

Ouch for Forest...poor dude is gonna get schooled bad by Lil Nog...Forest is a cool dude an all, but he just doesnt have the Killer instinct to finish off someone like Nog I dont think...All in all, still debating on making the short trek for 113..Card is shaping up nicely hard to passup another chance of a UFC live event so close to home, well bout 4hrs away..but still worth the the drive me thinks.

Also is it just me or does Forrest look like Johhny Cash's equally doped up bastard son in this picture?

I also like both of these fighters and am not really picking a side to root for on fight night but will merely be enjoying a great fight. I think this will be a really good stand up fight with Lil Nog dictating whether it goes to the ground or not. Simply for the same reason BJ Penn stays on his feet, because he can. Lil Nog will own Forrest on the ground (insert comment from Joe Rogan right about now about how underrated Forrest's ground game is) and his stand up is ever improving. That being the case I think that will nulify Griffin's leg kicks and take away his best weapon. I'd like to see Forrest get back on track and notch another win against a quality fighter but the magic 8 ball is just not cooperating on this one. Big Nog by descision

I see LIL Nog with an easy W here. I believe that Nog is a better all around fighter than Forrest.

I am a fan of both but just see Nog outclassing Griffin in all departments. Especially with his boxing looking crisp as of late. We all know his pedigree on the ground. It could end up being a VERY long night for..

[[RIP]] Forrest Griffin. [[RIP]]

Little Nog may take a bit of a beating but Forrest just doesnt have the finishing skills to win this fight. That being said, he could win the decision of a smart, yet boring fight. Im rooting for Little Nog here though, hoping he lays a knockout. He was very impressive in his last fight vs. Cane. All in all this is turning out to be a great fight card. 2010 is looking very promising for people who enjoy gay men wrestling. I for one cant wait to get oiled up and watch these fights with the guys.

Forrest is about to get knocked the fuck out. Plain and simple. But he's still cool though.

Hey! Who told you about my Potato fetish?

I like this fight but poor Forrest. A guy like him who is willing to take a shot to land one is gonna get killed against a heavy-handed, highly technical striker like Lil' Nog. And as if that isn't bad enough, he'll look up between rounds and have to see Anderson Silva in the opposite corner again...

Fuck this card looks SWEET! I live in Alberta (Western Canada for you yanks) and I would rather go see UFC 113 out east than see 115 in Vancouver! Especially if the main event in Van ends up being Lidell-Ortiz III

Are you guys nuts? Lil nog is gonna destroy forest. Like hard.

He's not even that good. He should have never even become champ. That was a ridiculous decision.

Awesome matchup

I've always like Forrest but Lil Nog is a beast

I say this goes to decision

this schadenfreude needs to stop, although it will be a spectacle. griffin will just flee again like forest gump after the fight

I really wish they'd give Forrest an easy fight.

I love forrest griffin, but I think his butt is about to be kicked again

JVCD has a better chance against Somguy (whatever that Thai's name is) then Forrest does against Rogerio.

Killer card! I can not wait to see this. Still gunning for the idea of seeing 111, but whatever. Let's go FoGriff!

Fuck yeah. I was annoyed that the Rampage/Rashad fight was moved off the Montreal card (which I plan on attending) but this definitely makes up for it. Monster fight card for 113.

Yay! I'm a FoGriff nuthugger and I approve of this post. You guys!
