@Cro mag: I'd have to agree with robthom on this one. Smaller, regional shows continue with little or no interference from Zuffa, but Strikeforce has been a house of cards populated with a handful of decent fighters and a lot of melodrama (The UFC on the other hand has a shitload of great fighters, and a shitload of melodraama). Does anybody really care about Herschel Walker's long-term viability in MMA or is he just another accident waiting to happen? Fedor may be a great fighter, but M-1 is run by a bunch of greedy fuckers that make Dana White look like Mother Theresa.

The fact that Strikeforce has two crutches - Showtime and CBS - means that they're just a little bit more than a penny ante outfit. All this agita between Zuffa and Strikeforce show me that if you want to be a contender in MMA, you have to deal with Zuffa aggressively trying to protect their market share. Maybe this will help Strikeforce grow, and then again maybe they'll tap out.

Your argument is weak. I love the UFC and am thankful for it's existence but you can't tell me that when White bashes the competition and tries to counter- program their events, that's all in good entrepreneurial spirit. Come on man, are you a dim whit?

Strikeforce exists.
They're doing quite well.
And theres many MMA events in the USA and around the world.
What monopoly?

I dont think UFC is actively looking to crush everybody as much as protecting the share they worked for by keeping threats to that in check.

Are you mad at anderson silva for not letting anyone else be the champ too?

I can confirm that was Nick Diaz...if you look at the comments its says "Nickdiaz209" he's cleverly tried to disguise it with the 209 on the end but its him alright...so take 209 from the end you end up with Nickdiaz..so then if you put a space after Nick..you get Nick Diaz.....

The friday link dump is great and everything but I'm still pissed off at what a fag Dana White is. I'm a fan of the UFC but I hate monopolies. Strikeforce has the right to exist and thrive as does any other organization that can bring us the goods. Dumbass White has no problem throwing money away trying to make trouble for strikeforce and CBS but can't find the scratch to keep a serious fighter like Dan Henderson in the UFC and provide a credible challenger for Silva's belt.

P.S. Hendo is 10 times the man White will ever be.
