That sweep, knockout shot from standing over Thiago Silva is just down right nasty....you gotta figure he MIGHT have a shot of pulling something like that on Jones...I mean, Silva went from aggressively stalking Machida to being a dead body in about 5 seconds time.

Machida will take a beating, sure. But he is a unique fighter, its nice to see a guy with a different skill set like that instead of the typical wrestler with tentative striking.

Also, if he uses a combination of Crane Kick and Drum Roll he will surely get the chance to kill Jones via Septum Stab due to Palm Strike.

@Me likey - What does "doesn’t have hardly any" mean? I'll assume you mean that "he hardly has any" bodyfat or that he "doesn't have any" bodyfat not that he does have, which is what you just said. Anyway, he does have more than "hardly any" bodyfat, he's probably around 9% meaning that he has roughly 19 lbs of bodyfat, but just doesn't have enough where he can cut only bodyfat and get down to 185.

@ Me Likely ..not saying he is over weight he doesn't carry any fat but I think Jones has redefined what a LHW should be..not all all LHW should be 6.4 with arms like legs>> but I think at 6'0 and an average build making 185 shouldn't be an issue...he'd be quicker and have a much better chance at getting a belt back...which is the real issue..I hope he does it against Jones I really do but if he was my fighter I'd be pushing a move on him.

Machida might have some sort of edge in terms of counter-striking, but no where else. Jones wins this 9 times out of 10.

This fight is sort of bullshit, but the Champ needs to feed.
