all i know is that when mayhem went to the strikeforce cage to call out shields and the diaz bros,shield,melendez and gracie coaches jumped him....if gsp would of got into the cage when diaz ran his mouth saturday and they would have tried to pull that shit on him, he he would of left that whole crew wrecked ceasar gracie would be with a ice pack on his face right now sitting next do nick and his ice pack still telling nick he's scared he's not injured..lol

I had a conversation with a friend about that. We concluded that he was too prideful to try and use his ground skills to win the fight. It was pretty obvious that he didn't put a ton of effort into going to the ground.
He wasn't happy after the Shields fight because Shields intentionally poked him in the eye. Look for Diaz to do the same. Diaz will be grounded, and GSP is too strong and experienced for Diaz to be able to get up. He may hump him for 25 minutes, or he may brutalize his face with elbows.
Had to go back a few fights to find any fight footage of GSP being awesome. Maybe Diaz will finally bring a fight out of GSP. I doubt it though, he looked awfully unhappy looking at the damage he took in the Shields fight. GSP isn't scared of Diaz or Condit, he's scared of injury and messing up his celebrity looks.
The problem with Penn while fighting Diaz was that he couldn't take Diaz down. This is obviously not an issue for GSP. I think we're in for some ground and pound clinic this time.
