With the growing popularity of MMA, many of the sport’s personalities are recognized wherever they go, making it nearly impossible to enjoy a normal uninterrupted day or night out. Wearing disguises would just draw more attention to them, so they typically just deal with their newfound celebrity and try to maintain a semblance of normalcy when engaging in their daily activities like eating out, shopping and going to the movies with fans constantly interrupting them to ask for photos and autographs.
Fortunately for a lot of them this week whose inner nerd craved anonymity amongst fellow geeks, Comic-Con was the perfect opportune venue to blend in by wearing ridiculous costumes as disguises. You may be surprised how many MMA luminaries were out mingling with the crowds at the annual convention throughout the week.
