Gray Maynard’s Website Points Out That Nate Diaz Did Get Tagged Once or Twice

(Nate Diaz never gets tired of doing his impression of that scene in "Conan the Barbarian" where Thulsa Doom turns into a snake.)

Though Nate Diaz would have us believe that he hardly even got touched in three dominant rounds against Gray Maynard at UFC Fight Night 20, Maynard’s website features a few photos that tell a different story. He has several nice shots of him laying hands upon Diaz, though strangely enough, not a single one of him getting hit. There’s some of him dodging blows, or slipping and countering, but none of him actually taking a shot. If only there were a more impartial photo source that could set the record straight…

Yep, that happened.

#1 The only reason any of this is happening is because Diaz is a little whining cunt, and his fans are just like him.
Diaz you lost, shut up. Maynard you won, shut up. This is just as dumb as trying to taunt and act like a crack-baby like Diaz, it was dumb during the fight and it is dumb now after the fight, again shut up maynard and move on.

I really don't see the "controversy". I thought Gray dominated in round one and two, and Diaz probably won a close last round. It was a split decision, that is is pretty reasonable. I think people are easy to hate on Gray because he is "boring", which he is not anymore.

Edit: I did not mean to say that gray dominated round 2. He won, but only because of the knockdown. Diaz was keeping up until that.

Oh look at this all the Nate hate is starting to go away on Thursday....Let's up the level of conversation here I posted stuff from Tuesday that confirmed all of this. Many people here know their stuff and we should move on with other news....like did u know Hermes Franca retired, you want to talk about fighters, there's a hell of a fighter in my books. Hermes said his body wasn't giving anymore and that it was thanks to the fans he made as long as he did.......He kicked off 103 coming into crazy train and it rocked the house....he first time he was finished in the UFC by an oppenent and the fight was good! SALUTE to THE UNREAL.

@SweetAfflictionShirt - I have to agree. Everyone had already chalked this one up to lay and pray before it had even happened. Maynard went in there and stood for 3 rounds. It was close, I would give the edge to Maynard barely, but I thought it was entertaining and I give both guys their credit. Not every fight will have a highlight reel KO or sub.

@CP - Do you guys do anything besides watch Conan the Barbarian? It is playing right now isn't it? Judas you are worse than me with The Delta Force.

The Lawlor/Simpson decision was a robbery, but Diaz/Maynard could have gone either way. As they were about to read off the scores, I realized that it was so close that I didn't really care who won... neither guy did enough to really earn the win, and I would have been just as satisfied with a draw.

@natpuncher9k - we all saw maynard's power punches, but most of those were in round 2.

dana white said that he thought it was a bad decision(though he was also displeased with the bout) and the only person near him who said otherwise was rashad(who also happens to be maynard's buddy and former roommate).

Well his last fight was against Roger Huerta, that was pretty awesome in my opinion, and I thought the Diaz fight was pretty decent. They scrapped pretty hard.

Really, Gray? The fight happened. You won. It was a shitty fight for both guys. The fans especially, want to put it behind them.

Seriously, I wonder why Maynard wouldn't want to forget this fight ever existed. It cost him a title shot, it was a bad fight, it ended up being a close split-decision victory and it had Couture admonish him on camera for acting like an idiot during the fight.
