GSP-Koscheck II is a Go for December 11

(Josh, you ‘air look ridiculous. I can see da roots. And it is so dry and brittle. Let me give you the name of my ‘airdresser in Montreal.)

According to Josh Koscheck, Christmas will come two weeks early for him this year and his present will be a fight with UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre on December 11.

"Can’t wait until tuf 12 airs in Sept! & oh ya did u guys know, that I am going to be the next welterweight champion come dec 11th,"
Koscheck tweeted today.

Unfortunately for Koscheck, it won’t be St. Nick delivering his festive gift with a big red bow on top that night, it will St-Pierre looking to deliver his fellow The Ultimate Fighter 12 coach a giant sized lump of coal while he lays unconscious dreaming of sugarplums.

The last time the two met, GSP was able to beat Koscheck at his own game, outwrestling the former NCAA Division I champion to win a unanimous decision over the American Kickboxing Academy-trained fighter.

Both fighters have improved equally since that fight, but Koscheck is the only one of the pair to have lost since then.

6-2 since their first non-title meeting, Koscheck has beaten Dustin Hazelett, Chris Lytle, Yoshiyuki Yoshida, Frank Trigg,  Anthony Johnson and Paul Daley and lost to Thiago Alves and Paulo Thiago.

St-Pierre has reeled off six consecutive wins including four title defenses since their last bout in August 2007, notching wins over Matt Hughes for the interim welterweight title, Matt Serra to regain his belt as well as Jon Fitch, BJ Penn, Thiago Alves and Dan Hardy.

Although no venue has been named for the event which will take place a week after the TUF 12 finale in Las Vegas, Dana White previously pointed to Toronto as being at the top of his desired locations for the bout if the province of Ontario approves regulation of the sport.

@topdog

If you ask BJ Penn it will be a 5 rd drug fest.
DazedNConfused- July 20, 2010 at 4:07 pm
Ill go to Toronto to see this. And even though it's true that GSP will be an overwhelming favorite, this is still GSP's biggest test since their last meeting. Dan Hardy, Matt Hughes, Matt Serra? Yah talk about testing your champ.

The only way this fight will be exciting is if Kos goes for broke and catches GSP. I'm afraid this will be a GSP 5 rd. hugfest.

Anderson did you miss GSP vs. Fitch?
ccman- July 20, 2010 at 2:36 pm
Seriously, what's he gonna say? " gsp is gonna make me the school girl my hair and attitude already make me"? Kos is hopin for a 5 rd decision and praying for no life altering scars.

He woulda thrown the daley fight to avoid this if daley wasn't such a dickwad.

if it's in toronto, I will be there

Kos' standup isn't that great. The fear of a TD opens up a lot of opportunities to strike for him but GSP is still a better striker. Oh and better wrestler. And better at submissions. And sexier thighs.

I would love nothing more than to see GSP knock Mop-Head out.
Putting Jokecheck into the next phase of his career as the love interest of a discarded Duster in those Swiffer Duster Ad's........Who's that lady?......Who's that lady,......Sexy lady,.....Who's that lady...... Josh hidden in attic, blows kiss at Feather duster......and scene.
uzithrasha- July 20, 2010 at 12:55 pm
Gsp is gonna be scared of kos stand up and take him down. Hopefully kos will stuff them and keep it standing. God I hate Jacksons camp now.

if you wanted a boring top control fest for the holidays....you bitches are in luck because this fight will deliver....boringness....hope the undercard doesn't suck as bad as this fight will.....yawn FTW!

If they really want to be in the Christmas spirit, this fight should take place on the North Pole;lots of penguins there!(and Inuits,and...)

To be serious tho,Koscheck as no chance whatsoever!Zero,None,Nada,Nil...Even tho he probably still have a couple "Koschekc Konnections" up his ass, that wont help him vs GSP!
I can go on and on,naming reasons why he doesnt stand a chance in this fight, but whats the point? We all know why...
A lucky punch, that is his only mini-chance!But even then,GSP wont get fool twice.

Even though the Penguins play in Buffalo on Dec. 11, the sparkling new Consol Energy Center is already booked for that night. This is very unfortunate. Would really have liked to see this fight in Pittsburgh.
Cock_Chestnar- July 20, 2010 at 12:10 pm
Who remembers Koschek picking the Penguins over the Habs at the end of the Daley fight? Guy needs to learn to keep his mouth shut when picking the outcome of sporting events.

Do a little cutting and pasting?
Almost North- July 20, 2010 at 11:58 am
Epic caption.

Is it too late to call this card wrestlemania? I know the WWE has that already but hey, they used to be the WWF and they lost that to an organization with a fucking panda on its letterhead, so how good could their lawyers really be?
Sabado Gigante- July 20, 2010 at 11:57 am
Kos is funny... Not like Bill Cosby funny or anything, but the dude makes me laugh...
VisitingDeadAncestors- July 20, 2010 at 11:55 am
i would love to see these guys stand with each other

rather than the obvious wrestle-fest we're going to see...
