Heads Up: Alistair Overeem Gets Back to K-1 Can Crushing Late Tonight

(Poturak vs. Melvin Manhoef, 2/13/05.)

Alistair Overeem continues his large-gloved pursuits tonight when he takes on Dževad Poturak in the opening round of the 2010 K-1 World Grand Prix (watch a surprisingly depressing promo here) in Yokohama, Japan. Poturak is coming off two straight decision losses and he’s currently a 5-1 underdog in the fight. Basically, he’s supposed to be a side of beef for Overeem to beat on. Hopefully our massive Dutch friend can do that without getting himself hurt. There is that whole Strikeforce heavyweight title defense thing looming on the calendar, and if Overeem puts it off yet again, well, there’s no guarantee that Scott Coker won’t just totally snap and go on a killing spree in downtown San Jose. It’s always the quiet ones.

The fights air live on HDNet at 4 am ET Saturday morning, which means that you can stumble home and microwave some fish sticks just in time to watch Michael Schiavello freak out over some K-1 action. Trust us, you’ll still be hearing his voice in your nightmares long after you’ve passed out.

Well thats certainly an intriguing concept dumbfuck, but your not giving me a lot to work with.

@dumbfucks (sigh)
You joke about the article's content, yet provide no evidence that this Dževad Poturak is not a tomato can.
So lets give your theory a test drive.
Overeem is fighting a game opponent, and the ODDSMAKERS (who usually DO have a clue) just installed Overeem as a 5-1 favorite because they're charitable folks and wanted to give everyone betting on this K-1 match a good shot to win some FAT bank on the very good chance Dževad Poturak has of winning...

Or you're just an idiot who should go back to his kickboxing website. good day.

Hahahah K-1 can? You search up a Poturak fight with Melvin and you think you've done some research. I made an account because week after week I read horribly flawed and poorly written articles. Make sure you have a clue before you begin your next article, DUMBFUCK.

Oh robthom pull your head out of your ass too.

Probably a smart enough move to get that record fluffed up so he doesn't completely look like the unatural/overmrated scrub that he is when Rogers exposes him.

Puahaha, OBI, that was pretty good

Sheeeeit, you better put them fishdicks in the oven and practice some patience. Trifelin'!

This is Overeem's punishment to us for all of the years that the United States has subjugated and enslaved the Danish people and tried to crush their religious freedom to worship horse meat eating Dutchmen who wear gloves of Golden Glory.

We have no one to blame....EXCEPT FOR OURSELVES!

I tell you this: Overeem will be rewarded in heaven with the manna of horse meat and 57 ten-year-old girls holding strike-bags and waiting to be kicked into oblivion. The clouds will ring with their pre-pubesent squeals of agony.

Someone needs to correct Brock, this is what you call a fake champion.
ReX13- April 2, 2010 at 12:03 pm
OBI>> that seems horribly plausible. Why does Overeem hate the US so much? Is it our freedom?
ReX13- April 2, 2010 at 11:57 am
First War Machine, now Josh "The Baby Fat Assassin" Barnett and Uberbitchassereem... is it catchup week for the bastard children of the MMA world? We could use some Dan Quinn and Scott Blevins as well; agentsmith has a caption all picked out....

Ahh yeah Dževad Poturak up in this bitch.

Overeem has become a joke. He won't fight in the UFC due to the fact that he'll fail the banned substance test, and he won't defend his title in Strikeforce. Plus, he won't fight Fedor even when M-1 gives a rare OK for Emelianenko to fight anyone.

On top of all that, Overeem has put on about 80 lbs in the last few years, and I'm not talking about jelly dough either. He must be subscribing to the Mark McGwire school of using roids to "heal injuries."

....After Overeem crushed this tomato can, he'll claim he has sustained a hand injury

(Ya see where this is going?)

I'm telling you, every chance Overeem has had over the past 28 months to stick his thumb into Scott Coker's eye, he's done so.
