Hey Fatso: Get Your Sorry Ass in Shape With Georges St. Pierre’s ‘RUSHFIT’

(Video courtesy of GSPRUSHFIT. Props to our bud Brian D’Souza for the tip.)

One way or another, we all want Georges St. Pierre‘s body. (*cough*) So it was just a matter of time until GSP recognized the opportunity and put together his own home workout DVD series with trainer Erik Owings — conveniently released in December to hook as many pudgy New Year’s resolution-makers as possible.

But St. Pierre’s new RUSHFIT series is no Situation-style cash-in. The eight-week, 45-minute-per-day program focuses on high-intensity circuit training, with a nutritional component to go along with the workouts. In other words, it actually looks like it would produce results, assuming you have the motivation to stick with it. (Full disclosure: You don’t.) And all you need is a couple of dumb-bells and your own ever-increasing bodyweight.

You can order the RUSHFIT DVD set at for $60-$70. After the jump: A couple more preview clips, and some crucial information from the website’s FAQ

2. Is this the real deal? Does Georges St-Pierre use this workout?
YES. This is GSP’s own workout program, designed, coached, and done in real-time by Georges and his trainer Erik Owings. It’s the secret training strategy from the most dominating athlete on the planet today available for the first time ever, for YOU. In his own words: "A lot of programs lie. This is legit."

5. I’m not familiar with MMA or mixed martial arts moves. I don’t want to be a fighter or beat people up, is this for me?
YES. Though it blends some MMA-specific techniques, RUSHFIT is a functional fitness program. There is no hitting or physical confrontation. The value in the workouts is the MMA style strength and conditioning that applies to anyone and all sports.

6. Is GSP RUSHFIT for women?
YES. RUSHFIT was designed for both men and women, and women instructors appear in each workout DVD. Ladies, there is no reason you can’t work as hard, train like a champion the way Georges St-Pierre does, and see results as good or better than any guy. This is as close to 1-on-1 time with GSP that women can get. [Ed. note: LOL. Now that's a sales pitch.]

Mechanicjitsu- December 31, 2010 at 12:30 am
Wait. So didn't he say he doesn't really do any conditioning workouts for fights other than sparring, wrestling, grappling etc? This was mentioned in a recent Potato article and he said he also just lifts weights for looks. WTF is this then??? These comments are fuckin rad, BTW. I just wanna know why the "ape technique" workout video isn't in this set....

The DuffeeFit DVD set promises same results in 2 weeks.

Jesus Christ, I already jump into freezing creeks, do crazy yoga breathing exercises, scream 'YES!', drink my own piss, do energy drink fasts, shoot 'roids, wear a snorkle with my nose duct taped closed, withhold my orgasms like a racing horse, eat racing horses and now this sonofabitch is telling me I have to WORK OUT, too?

WTF. Keep it North, Canada.

How much time do I have to spend planning my workout before I'm allowed to start?
RearNakedSpoon- December 30, 2010 at 10:26 am
Fantastic comments but on a serious note I really am going to get this and do it.
I use my own 40-50 minute a day (6 days a week) exercise routine so it will be very interesting to see what techniques he uses, they are clearly very effective.

On a related note, having 4 "Christmas" dinners in the last 5 days the timing couldn't be better to release this.

Me and the ol' ball and chain are thinking about getting a workout tape for the new year, but we have a question first. Is it true that in the beginning the workouts last less than five minutes but eventually work their way up to 25 minutes once you strap on the special gold-plated weight belt? If so, then consider our DECISION to buy this dvd UNANIMOUS.
Bruce_Buffer- December 30, 2010 at 9:02 am
...riddum not included.

If I can't turn someone's eye into a vagina after doing this then I don't want it.
El Famous Burrito- December 30, 2010 at 8:35 am
Dear George,

I tried your DVD and it has turned me into a lean, mean, grilling fighting machine.

I have two problems: 1) I now have this weird urge to put brown gravy on everything, and 2) Some French Muay Thai guy keeps drunk-dialing me late at night.

Is there somethiin the special features that I missed?

El Famous Poutino, er Burrito.

As a white person, can I andle da riddum, or will I just look foolish?

If I don't end up with the same accent, there's really no point.
MyDonkeyPunch- December 30, 2010 at 8:06 am
One question... is all the groaning and face making that looks like you're getting pounded in the fart box required in this workout?
Fried Taco- December 30, 2010 at 8:02 am
My question didn't show up in the FAQ:

Would GSP RUSHFIT help me pack on the pounds of muscle I would need to move up from Welterweight to face the Middleweight champ?

GSP is not impressed with your spare-tire belly...BUY HIS DVD!
