Which MMA Fighter Will Test Positive For Steroids Next?

Insane Rant of the Day: Nick Diaz

From the OC Register’s “Keep Punching” blog, via MMA Mania:

“I’m trying to fight (Hayato) Sakurai, I’m trying to fight K.J. Noons, I’m trying to fight Anderson Silva, I’m trying to fight everybody. I’m trying to fight Georges (expletive) St. (expletive) Pierre. I’m trying to fight … I didn’t mean to call Georges a (expletive), but I ain’t got no problem getting there and fighting the best people in the world. Georges is a nice guy. I’m trying to fight Jon Fitch, I’m trying to fight Silva, I’m trying to fight K.J. Noons, I’m trying to fight everybody. I’m trying to fight Takanori Gomi, Sakurai, I’m trying to (expletive) everybody up. (Expletive) this (expletive). This is (expletive) gangster (expletive) warfare. I don’t give a (expletive). You know what I mean?

I don’t mean to sound like … this is … you know … people need to grow up and be mature enough to handle this (expletive). If they can’t and their eyes are not old enough to handle my cuss words and to handle the reality ofo what my life is really about, then don’t (expletive) watch. Because I’m tired of hearing about this and that about how I’m a (expletive) punk and I’m this and that and I’m (expletive) stupid because I didn’t go to school and I don’t know how to talk without (expletive) cussing and say the F-word every five minutes. If you can’t handle it, then don’t listen to me. I don’t give a (expletive).

I’m here to fight. I’m not trying to be a movie star. I’m not trying to wear a (expletive) suit like K.J. Noons. I’ll save my money to buy some (expletive) weed. You know what I mean? I’m trying to enhance the quality of my living. That’s the same reason why I will fight people, I will get high, because that’s a higher quality of life. You know what I mean? I don’t (expletive) do drugs and I don’t do no (expletive). You know what I mean? I’m trying to enhance the quality of my living. Whatever is going to do that. I’m not down for (expletive) chemicals. You know what I mean? I’m down for whatever is going to do it. If fighting and whatever else I do and saying (expletive) you, and being able to do that and still make money, you know, sounding ignorant.

“People are going to think I’m ignorant. But you know what … it’s actually … who is ignorant when you are not the one who understands this sarcasm? You know what I mean? You are just not up to par on how people talk these days or something. Open your eyes and look at the real (expletive) world. Look at the world I live in. That’s all I’m saying.”

And so on, and so on, and (expletive) so on

Yes, actually he does need to be a spokesperson for cannabis. Recreational and even medicinal cannabis users have had their civil liberties trampled upon for too many years now and it's high time this antiquated view of the drug is changed. Nick is the perfect example of just how ridiculous the marijuana laws are. Here you have one of the best fighters in the world showing true integrity instead of apologizing for indulging in a harmless plant. I only wish Phelps had shown this type of stand up attitude in the face of cultural prejudice. Think about it people, don't just shut your brain off when you here the word marijuana used in positive context. The United States has a pretty bad track record when it comes to laws which limit civil liberties and the marijuana laws are no exception. I have followed Nick's MMA career since his first UFC fight. I knew then that he is the future in the sport and I immediately moved him to the top on my favorite fighters list. Seeing him stand up for what he believes in rather than giving in to the biases of those which would have you live by their moral standards, like Frank said, is a breath of fresh air.

OH, I feel a bet comming on boooy! Dusty, don't cha know, my boy Diaz just got his face surgically restructured? He got all that scar tissue removed and his sharp ocular bones smooooothed out like keith sweat. HE's going to demolish "king" kj. The first fight was stopped due to cuts that just won't happen this time.

Nick is entertaining but he is a bit off (perhaps too much mary jane) with his verbiage warfare crap. How can you be a professional and a gangsta "this is a gangsta warfare". It was STUPID for whoever decided to bring him and his crew into the ring. Like Kenny Rice said "thats like bringing naked Pamela Anderson to a frat party"! Nick is a great fighter and I like how he taunts his opponent and comes forward the entire fight with those peppering jabs constantly -- but in my honest opinion I think KJ is too fast and explosive for him.

What the (expletive) did he just say?!?!?!

Nick, my son....we all know your an accomplished fighter. You Ko'd Robbie Rawler(wheres the rematch hype?), you beat the best lightweight in the world, gomi, via gogoplatta no less, and you have an exciting style.
YOu are a fighter, but not a talker. For the sake of everyone including myself who supports you, please just focus on fighting and not talking.

I know with all that training you don't have time for a speech class at the local junior college..and thats O...K....You just go out there and punch more people in the face and put your shin in their throats and bleed for us...and maybe flip off the camera(circa 2004 ufc), thats the Nick we love....ok can do it.
Kim Couture is a cunt- June 19, 2008 at 11:15 pm
His mom failed miserably. I actually feel bad for him, he is so un-educated and poorly spoken and he is defending himself so poorly. Poor kid.

This guy will be on COPS at some point in the future. He is complete trash.

"their eyes are not old enough to handle my cuss words" WTF??
RealDrew- June 19, 2008 at 7:07 pm
The Diaz brothers are a joke. They appeal to the lowest common denominator in our society. If they weren't fighters they would probably be a couple of crack dealers. My guess would be that one of them ends up dead in driveby or a barfight.

i like watching nick fight, mainly because i like to see his face bleed....and to hopefully see him lose.

Wow, tell us how you really feel.

Yeah, KockJockey Noons a bitch. I understand that. I hope Diaz makes him shit his shorts uncontrollably from taking him out.
NICK DIAZ FOR PREZ...HOMEY!!- June 19, 2008 at 5:50 pm
How can you not like this guy? People act surprised that someone who hits people in the face for a living doesn't sugarcoat anything. If more fighters would be real to themselves we would see a lot more of this. With the frustration of noons dodging him and the fact that they told him to go in the ring and hype the fight Nick was set up to be the bad guy. I think that the Diaz brothers are genuinely good people, they just don't take shit from anyone (something I personally like in a fighter.) My only concern is what the people at the UFC think about Nate being involved in stuff like this and how it affects his career.

Long Live the Diaz Brothers!!!

Can someone please perform a stealth vasectomy on this guy? Like the next time his punk ass gets knocked out perhaps?
poopypants- June 19, 2008 at 5:19 pm
Love watching him fight. Listening to him talk .... not so much.
One things for sure, you don't need to try and read between the lines. You know what he's saying?
fuck diaz- June 19, 2008 at 5:10 pm
he is still a bitch
