Steroids in MMA
Which MMA Fighter Will Test Positive For Steroids Next?

It’s Like Kimbo Is Trying to Tell Us Something…

Kimbo Slice MMA UFC

When we asked Dana White if there was any truth to the rumors that Kimbo Slice‘s first post-TUF fight would be against Houston Alexander, he expertly dodged the question. (This is why he gets the paid the big bucks, and why we have to moonlight as night managers at Family Dollar in order to make rent.) But a couple of tweets Kimbo posted yesterday seem to support the theory that Slice will soon be thrown into the Octagon with another ground-game-challenged puncher. The "I Accept" line suggests that he won’t be fighting a fellow castmember at the TUF 10 finale. (Does he not get another chance to bang on the show after all? Does he lose again?) And yeah, the whole "HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM!" thing is pretty much a dead-giveaway.

Alexander, who recently broke his three-fight losing streak with a first-round TKO over Sherman Pendergarst at Adrenaline 4, is reportedly applying for a fighter license with the Nevada State Athletic Commission, so all signs are pointing to "oh God, this is actually happening." Could it be the Kimbo Slice slobberknocker that we’ve all been waiting for?

I talked to Houston earlier this month and he said they were fighting in December. I think Kimbo takes it tho. Houston's head is to hard to miss.... IT IS HUUUGGGGEEEE. Even the UFC knows it. In the game his head is insane.

@CP Are you guys sure that is Kimbo's real twitter? There is another twitter calling his a fake, and the link you guys posted is dead.

I like the idea of giving Kimbo a bit more time to work on his ground game before throwing him in with more well-rounded opposition.

Dana White and the UFC know Kimbo's a marketing wet dream, so giving him a bit more time to make the transition from Backyard Brawler to Mixed Martial Artist is a good move for both Kimbo and the UFC.

I wish Kimbo the best of luck in the UFC, in whatever weight class he decides to call home.

Edit: Houston Alexander v Kimbo Slice will be a great fight, imo.

I'll be cheering for Kimbo. He is, like the other poster said, a very humble guy. There aren't many of those in MMA. And I still have tons of respect for him taking that Petruzelli fight on 1 hour notice.

Kimbo will win this shit for sure. Fuck all you retarded haters.
Left_Boob_Telligman- October 30, 2009 at 10:46 am
I didn't know being street certified included updating twitter. For that matter, I didn't know Kimbo was computer literate.

Was gonna say, Alexander's a LHW isn't he? I dunno, the idea of this matchup isn't really thrilling me. While I'm glad they're not giving Kimbo a super-high-profile opponent right off the bat, I also don't see what either fighter has to gain.
imakeutap- October 30, 2009 at 10:38 am
It's not that the UFC wants to give Kimbo easy fights, it's the fact that these two are going to throw bombs, it wont be technical but it will be fun to watch. This is a good matchup since both suck on the ground.
baldmidget- October 30, 2009 at 9:17 am
I thought the fight was taking place at 205, since kimbo is a useless heavyweight, and a slightly less useless 205er?
Sabado Gigante- October 30, 2009 at 8:52 am
weeeell.... Wikipedia has Alexander VS Kimbo at the TUF Finale on 12/5/09.... Wikipedia is not the most reliable source, but thats just another lead (I guess)...

@ Grimjitsu.... I nearly shat my pants bro... funny shit!
superflat- October 30, 2009 at 8:40 am
Houston is a small-ass heavyweight.
Grimjitsu- October 30, 2009 at 8:27 am
Kimbo is trying to tell us something. Houston we have a problem! He has found his true calling as a motivational speaker, helping fools everywhere to conquer the real problem in life, "THE INNA-ME" !

Bj finally accepts the GSP defeat
Rampage becomes an effective coach
Tito masters the English language
Tank earns a bjj black belt
Chuck Liddell sobers up
Dana and Brock come out of the closet
Cecil Peoples tearfully confesses his inabilty to judge a fight
Fedor conquers the world

Houston, will you accept the challenge?
baldmidget- October 30, 2009 at 8:21 am
I hate alexander as much as the next guy but I hope he knocks the shit out of kimbo.

Right on Dana, he needs to come on the ultimate fighter and get his ass kicked to earn his way in.
Tai-Pan- October 30, 2009 at 8:09 am
Alexander was never cut from the UFC.
shitbag- October 30, 2009 at 7:44 am
@fACE7biter that's fucking funny, Ben get that man a t-shirt
danomite- October 30, 2009 at 7:41 am
it's pretty bad that they have to bring back a guy who just got cut in order to find someone that kimbo actually has a chance at beating
shitbag- October 30, 2009 at 7:39 am
This is a perfect fight for Houston Alexander. Nebraska is gonna whip him. Kimbo is a joke compared to Alexander. Alexander isn't the greatest, has no ground game, but Kimbo is worse in every way. KO no later than 1st min of rd 2. If it somehow goes longer, Kimbo still loses, as his cardio is worse, and skills are worse and has no experience fighting through fatigue. Then again, neither do any of the current "Ultimate Fighters" on the show...

@ knucklesamitch

ill be the first to say that i thought kimbo was a goober and nothing more than a slugger. but, im humbled to say that over time (mainly through TUF) ive grown to like him. he has a humble spirit about him. he wants to learn and grow in the sport. the guy gets blasted from every angle from UFC critics and haters (all of which kimbo would smash) and yet he keeps quiet and doesnt run his mouth.

he's a likeable guy, what can i say.

so yeah, i got my tickets to memphis and id be a liar to say that im not excited to be their for his UFC debut.
NinJay- October 30, 2009 at 7:17 am
Wow. Kimbo is a joke but like pr0n, i can't stop watching. He will most likely lose to Alexander though. Not that Houston is some great fighter, quite the opposite.
fACE7biter- October 30, 2009 at 7:14 am
My prediction: Kimbo, overflowing with confidence stemming from his new found ground game nurtured at ATT, starts the fight with a clinch tie up of Houston. Their nappy chest hair sticking them together like velcro, Kimbo trips and accidentally knocks Alexandar out with an unintentional headbutt. Your winner by DQ, Houston Alexandar.

Zenom- October 30, 2009 at 7:09 am
Isn't Houston Alexander the one who laid out Jardine? I think Houston Alexander has a great shot at beating Kimbo and making him lose his UFC debut.
kangerpang- October 30, 2009 at 7:06 am
Kimbo by Standing Arm Triangle.
two_black_eyes- October 30, 2009 at 7:04 am
come on... all you Kimbo haters know you couldnt resist watching Kimbo a slugfest. Houston alexander will not be an easy fight for him either. they both have mean fists and weak ass chins. gotta be entertaining.
rM- October 30, 2009 at 7:03 am
Kimbo has been at ATT since the end of the show I believe. I think that should be enough time for him to pick up some new tricks and get Houston uncomfortable on the ground if needed...
omunto- October 30, 2009 at 6:54 am
You can take the yokel out of Memphis, but you can never take Memphis of of the yokel I suppose (just messing with you Soda). But seriously... You lose Rampage vs Evens and this would be your saving grace?
