Super Fight League Signs Duffee, Prangley and Agaev to Four-Fight Deals
(Wings, lions and heraldry? That combo would make a nice MMA shirt.)
India’s new MMA promotion, Super Fight League announced today the signing of a trio of MMA vets.
According to a release, former UFC heavyweight Todd Duffee, former Bodog middleweight champion Trevor Prangley and M-1 veteran Baga Agaev all agreed to four-fight deals with the fledgling promotion.
Duffee (6-2), who is 0-1 in his post-UFC career, hasn’t fought since being knocked out by Alistair Overeem at Dynamite!! 2010 back on December 31 of the same year. The 26-year-old, who currently trains at American Kickboxing Academy, is rumored to be on a short-list of opponent’s for Fedor Emelianenko’s next M-1 fight in June, possibly in Monaco.
A UFC and Strikeforce veteran and MFC, Shark Fights and Maximum Fighting Championship titleholder, Prangley (23-9-1) holds notable wins over Travis Lutter, Keith Jardine, Yuki Kondo and Chael Sonnen. With just one win in his last six outings against the likes of Roger Gracie, Tim Kennedy, Tatsuya Mizuno and Hector Lombard, the crafty 39-year-old will be looking to get his career back on track fighting for the SFL before hanging up the gloves.
With 16 wins coming by submission, Agaev (22-11) holds a notable wins over former UFC heavyweight champ Kevin Randleman. Agaev is a  judo black belt who trains out of RusFighters Sport Club in St. Petersberg, Russia.
SFL’s first event takes place March 11th at the Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai, India and will feature a main event heavyweight tiltt between Bob Sapp and James Thompson. No word on when Duffe, Prangley and Agaev will make their promotional debuts.
