In a tweet by “Fox Sports: Procast” it was announced that Joanna Jedrzejczyk will be defending her title for the 5th time against brazilian striker Jessica Andrade.

To be fair, calling Andrade (16-5) a striker is only half selling her as her ground game is on full attack. She’s a complete fighter that pressures her opponents and hits them with big shots. Many are saying this will be Joanna’s biggest test, but I still say it’s a long shot.
If Jessica wins this fight, she’s going to have to mix it up. If she can keep Joanna guessing by using her superior BJJ skills on top of her striking she could catch Joanna with a shot or dominate her on the ground.
Joanna however has truly looked like the best strawweight ever in her last couple of fights dominating her opponents with skilled punches in bunches. She’s got the grit, fight IQ, and mean streak to dismantle any opponent, and this fight I’m afraid will be no different.
The two strawweights battle it out at UFC 211 in Dallas, TX, at the American Airlines Center on May 13th.
What do you think, who takes the strawweight strap?
