In their scramble to shore up UFC 106‘s lineup after the loss of Brock Lesnar, the UFC has booked a welterweight scrap between Josh Koscheck and Anthony Johnson for the November 21st event. Koscheck first announced via Twitter that he would be co-headlining the card, and Sherdog later confirmed his opponent.
It’ll be just a four-week turnaround for Johnson, who picked up his third straight win on Saturday night with a devastating 41-second TKO of Yoshiyuki Yoshida. (Our advice: Start cutting weight now.) Koscheck is coming off a first-round TKO of Frank Trigg at UFC 103 last month, and scored his own thunderous KO of Yoshiyuki Yoshida last December. Maybe it’s not worthy of co-main status, but at least Koscheck vs. Johnson will probably end with a highlight-reel knockout. Your predictions?

This fight will prolly be better than... I have a huge head and date an old porn star vs. I flail around when Anderson punches me in the face and then I re-enacted a scene from my favorite movie where the main character has my same name. I actually told one of my buddies that I wanted to see this fight after I saw johnson fight on Saturday. But yeah, he better start cutting weight now if he wants that paper.

@Jimbonics You beat me to it. Good fight, but probably still won't go out my way to catch this one with such a weak main event. I think AJ wins either by decision or TKO. Josh will eventually try to take it to the ground, but AJ has a wrestling background also.

Hey dumb fucks, AJ only missed weight this last fight. It's never been a problem before. The dude had a knee injury so, quit making yourselves sound like idiots. This is a GREAT fight! I know Kos is a great fighter and athlete, but I think AJ is the future of this weight class. two_black_eyes hit the nail on the head, I think AJ will continue to dominate this weight class until he gets a shot at GSP. I also think he has the tools to make that a great fight too, and possibly walk away the new champ. WAR AJ!!!!!

i say that Bobby "the brain" Heenan is going to distract the referee long enough for the Undertaker to rise out of the middle of the octagon and choke slam Johnson. Normally Lesnar would be there to prevent these sort of shenanigans but he apparently has the piggy flu (or hes afraid of carwin or something). Then The Big Show is going to tear open the cage with his teeth, fight the Undertaker, then guest host Dana White will schedule a fatal-4-way match for later that same night! its gonna be AWESOME!!
