How are they bad for the sport? And at this point, why should anyone even care what is good for the sport. It has got to the point where there is MMA on every week. It was one thing to worry about MMA when it was in the dark ages, but at this point, the Diaz brothers couldn't hurt the sport as hard as they tried.

Is being a nerd even a bad thing anymore?

....how does it make more sense for Mayhem Miller to cut 25-30 pounds than for Diaz to fight at a weight class he says he will fight in.

Yeah...lets have this guy lose such an unhealthy amount of weight, so that when they actually DO step in a cage, Miller passes out from dehydration before the first bell. The guy would have to cut 15-20 just to make middleweight.

And ps....yeah, he does fight one on one in a cage....and then sometimes he doesn't, a la Jake Shields/Dan Henderson conclusion.

I wont lie, if it was anyone besides Miller, I'd say they're pulling a Barnett, trying to pick on someone smaller (Hector Lombard), but this guy mobbed him on national television. Then threw a waterbottle at him. When you do that, you forego any excuse about weight, titles, or any other primadonna excuse you can think up. You need to man up and step into a cage, and catch the ass whipping you deserve, or deliver the ass whipping you promised.

If they don't meet halfway, somebody has an advantage. Simple as that. You can play that "he said-she said" bullshit till the cows come home if you'd like, but if they(plural, as in both of them) don't compromise then the fight ain't happening. Which is fine by me. I'd much rather see Semtex vs Diaz. And the Miller fans get to see more Pregnant Teen Bully Beatdown Real World Challenge or whatever the f'k it's called. It's win-win..

Mayhem is definitely an attention whore and pretty annoying, but a much better way to deal with that would be to get in the cage and fight him, not jump him with 5 of your friends, and talk shit, and throw water bottles backstage, and do everything but fight him, but keep acting like you want to...

Gracie had a good point too in pointing out the fact that if they fight at a catchweight of 183 with the 1lb over allowance then Mayhem only has to drop 16 fucking ounces, meanwhile Diaz has to go up 13 pounds.

If Mayhem won some decent fights in the past few years I think Diaz would be compelled to fight him. But when the biggest win you've had in the past few years is a 700 year old Sakuraba and Tim Stout, then you don't have a leg to stand on. Yes, I understand Diaz's level of competition hasn't been incredible (at least Corrbrey and Denny have winning records unlike Stout), but the guy hasn't lost in 3 years and he is the champion at a different fucking weight class. They need to get Miller and Kennedy in there for the rubber match instead...but Coker probably can't even make that happen.

They are in different weight classes. 1 guy is willing to meet 1/2 way the other but the other one wont fight unless its at his weight only. Now who is ducking whom? If miller was willing to fight at 178 it would already happen as well so that logic sucks ass too Aldo.

Fuck Miller and anyone that thinks this video is tight. The quote was clearly taken out of context anyway. He might have said that about 185, but who knows? Miller is the biggest douche in the sport and anyone that doesn't agree can suck a fat dick.

Diaz is the minor league champ (Don't forget that). I doubt Miller gives a fuck about his belt. Plus Miller isn't going to go from cutting 20-25 pounds to fight at middleweight to cutting 35-40 pounds to fight at welterweight. So even if he did it once for a title fight against Diaz at 170, he wouldn't be capable of defending the title if he actually won it.

If Diaz was willing to fight Miller at 185 then the fight would've already been made. Fact is, it's one of the biggest draws Strikeforce is capable of putting on right now. I'm sure they want it, we know Miller wants it, and the fans definitely want to see it. That means Diaz must be bullshittin' when he says he'll fight Miller at 185. Ya know what I'm sayin', yo?
