The exception to the rematch for the sake of a rematch thing is, of course, when the judges are totally fucked up – I’m talking to you, Cecil Peoples – as per the Machida/Rua fight. The stoppage was clearly the result of a illegal move, no matter how unintended, and the correct call would be a non-contest if not a DQ for K Soszi… Sosinz… you know who I mean. Does this mean that knees to the groin, rabbit punches and eye pokes are again a key to victory just as long as they appear unintended? Someone should teach that ref the rules of the game.

What if the Wanderlei vs Bisping fight had ended a few minutes early and Wand lost because he didn’t get his full 15 min to go apeshit? Bonnar could have easily pulled it out in the final minutes and I thought it was a good fight.

I’ll give Bonnar credit in that he gives his all every single time. There are a lot of people who play it safe and coast, whereas he’s balls to the wall from start to finish. Kudos there, but his monotone voice kills me. The reason Bonnar hasn’t been let go is that Dana has a little bit of loyalty to one of the fighters that helped the UFC make it to the next level. The first season of the TUF was almost make or break for the UFC and Bonnar vs Griffin is one of the reasons that the UFC is where it is today. Dana owes him one of his ferrari’s.

I realized that I don’t like Stephen Bonnar, not because he tries really hard to be funny or because he’s not that great of a fighter (The guy does have a hell of a chin), but I don’t like him because his voice annoys the shit outta me.

IF you don’t want to see a rematch to a fight that had a ridiculously unfair end to it, who do you want to see bonnar fight? The dude does throw down, you can’t deny that -even though he seems to have the personality of Tom Hanks after he got his fortune told by that Carnival Gypsy and had got transported into an adult’s body.

Because, KimboSlice, despite Bonner’s lack of skill compared to the other fighters in his weight class, he:

1) Does give it his all in his fights.
2) Makes for a good interview.
3) Was the other half of their number 1 UFC of all time.
4) Is recognizable to the Spike viewers.

But if you want to base employment on JUST records, they may as well cut a guy like Chris Lytle then, despite the fact he has exciting fights.

And who the hell does want to see that rematch with K-Sos? Tired of 99% of the fighters pining for some random rematch that most viewers wouldn’t care for.

F you guys, I thought it was a pretty good fight compared to most of the card (obviously wasn’t better than Cain / Nog). I would love to see a rematch, still think K-Sos would win, but I liked how these two slugged it out.

Damn good fight. Think I would have scored round 2 for Bonnar, and he was holding his own despite leaking after the headbutt.

i dont have much interest in a rematch. ksos should move up to fight tougher opponents more in the matt hammil range. i like to watch bonnar fight, but he’s not even a great gatekeeper anymore.
