Steroids in MMA
Which MMA Fighter Will Test Positive For Steroids Next?

Karo Parisyan Shall Return, But He Has No Idea When or Where

Karo Parisyan‘s struggle with prescription pills may have lead to his dismissal from the UFC, possibly for good, but it hasn’t dampened his fiery temperament any. While at an MMA event to corner one of his fighters, “The Heat” spoke with and really didn’t have many nice things to say about his fighter’s performance that night. You can’t blame Parisyan. He told his guy to keep his hands up high but, as Karo puts it, “he fucked up.”

That might seem harsh, but everyone has their own coaching style.  Some guys pick you up after a loss and tell you that everything’s going to be fine.  Karo is not one of those guys.  He comes from the ‘What the hell is your freaking problem?!’ school of thought.

As for his own career, Parisyan says he’ll be back in action somewhere, some time, though he appears to have no idea how that might actually happen. He’s still got enough name value that some promotion is going to be willing to take a chance on him. Hopefully he’s kicked the pill addiction and can make a real go of it. Otherwise we might be seeing Parisyan on a future episode of “Intervention,” sitting in a hotel room next to Manny Gamburyan as he explains the various ways in which his cousin’s addiction has affected him.

That first frame of the video captures Karo doing his best Barrack Obama pose.

Well it seems like he's in a much better place mentally. Looks like he's been doing much better. Who knows though maybe it's the pills talking.

@mma samurai: Well said, sir. You know he ain't more than a Coney Island Whitefish with fists when Phil Baroni is a better man than Karo "The Cheat" Parisyan. Shit, I'd say that Jesse "Jizz Tongue" Taylor is a better man than him.

Does being an overrated, drug addict, unreliable douchebag really count as name value and marketability? Hell even Phil Baroni with all his roided out shenanigans still at least steps into the cage and doesn't puss out of the fight.

Keep poppin' those pills, Karo. You're ten feet tall!

Depression and addiction are incredibly tough to overcome, but while Karo may have had some talent, he's a sad ironic skidmark of a man. It's one thing to admit you have problems, but it's another thing entirely to stop being a fucking cunt.

How low does Karo have to drop before he realizes he has to be a decent person as well as a good fighter?

All these personal struggles aside, I didn't like his attitude before all hell broke lose, and I still don't like it now.

Practice what you preach Karo...The first step to overcoming addiction is to admit you have an addiction....This interview was quite comical with Karo's words of wisdom for his fighter "you gotta get the shit out of your head" "prepare and train for the fight and go in and fight" So WTF happend at UFC 106 coach. This guy looks sick...and I don't mean that in no nice way.

I see "Krazy Karo's Used Kars" in his future.

Or maybe "Karpets". Or maybe both, who am I to judge.

If he ends up fighting in Japan, I think it will be pretty safe to say he hasn't beaten his demons.

I certainly hope he beats his addiction problems. Would love top see him eventually get back in the UFC. But in the meantime, a short tour-of-duty in Strikforce wouldn't be bad....

Parisyan's a good fighter, but what does he really bring to the WW division? He's definitely never going to be a true contendor and his fights usually aren't particularly exciting save some Lu-Kang style sweeps he can pull. I feel bad for the guy. Hopefully he can get over his problems *cough cough* addicitons and come back stronger.
