Kimo Leopoldo Reportedly Dead of a Heart Attack at 41
This isn't officially confirmed yet, but we thought we'd pass on the news that multiple sources are reporting this morning claiming that former UFC fighter Kimo Leopoldo has died from complications resulting from a heart attack. Details at this point are still rather hazy, but if true this marks a sad end for the fighter with an often tumultuous life in and out of the cage. He was 41 years old.
Leopoldo recently found himself in the news after an arrest for drug possession in southern California. Before that he made a very public run for the Executive Officer position within the California State Athletic Commission, where he hoped to turn his past record for steroid use into an asset rather than a liability. There’s no indication yet whether drugs might have played a role in his death. More on this as it becomes available.

I lived in Huntington Beach for many years and had multiple encounters with Kimo. He was a "class act" despite all the recent allegations. RIP brother.

Well, he wasn't exactly Jabba the Hut, so to have a heart attack at 41 when you've been know to use steroids, the odds are pretty good that it's a contributing factor.

i just want to laff at the people who say all this stuff on the forum to try and be funny, but none of them would have said it if he was standing in front of them before he died. never been a fan of him except the cross carrying, that was original and classic...well original for a fighter. 41 is too young, but drugs and steroids play a factor for the shear fact that they hurt your heart..cant deny that. rest in the peace that you didnt have during your life

Kimo was a warrior and his fight with Royce is one of the reasons I've been a MMA fan for years. 41 is just way to early to pass on.
