(Noons vs. Diaz I. Yeah, we’re assuming there’s going to be a II soon.)
It’s been over a year since K.J. Noons was stripped of his EliteXC title and accused of all manner of bitchassery by everyone from Nick Diaz to Jared Shaw, but he’s finally decided to sign with an MMA promotion and give this crazy sport of ours another try. Sherdog reports that Noons has signed with Strikeforce and will make his debut in either December or January.
What we really want to know, however, is how long until the Noons and Diaz clans get to go at it again. There’s some serious unfinished business there, and with Nick Diaz’s recent wins over Frank Shamrock and Scott Smith while Noons was off being a mediocre pro boxer, maybe "King Karl" can see fit to give Diaz a rematch and settle this thing once and for all, weight classes be damned. Like the prophet said, "Thou shalt not be scared, homey." Only if/when those two do get together again, maybe Strikeforce shouldn’t plan on doing it California. MMA’s Rosa Parks still isn’t ready to make nice and give up his seat just yet.

California or not, Diaz needs to get his shit together and cut down on the chronic if he wants to continue fighting. I doubt the weed rule will be different in any other state, and now that he's made such a shitshow out of it with the CSAC, I'd presume all the other athletic commissions will be on the lookout for him. He's not going to get around this unless he only fights in places with no commissions, like Alabama or the city of Japan.

DW is more like the Hitler of MMA, which is actually right on when you think about it.... As for Noons/Diaz II, Diaz will kick the shit out of Noons. I say a second round TKO or submission. Diaz has improved leaps and bounds since their first fight while Noons hasn't kept up his MMA training. Nick has improved his boxing and overall ring control since their first bout. Gotta say Noons has a lot of balls if he accepts the rematch, though....

Welcome back, K.J. I'm looking forward to seeing you get your ass handed to you in the cage. On another note, I don't know how to feel about Diaz. I love him as a fighter. He cracks me up as a genuine bad-ass personality. His whole piss-and-vinegar routine is a delight. But this (as the kids today say) 'chronic' business is for the birds. It seems like everyone looks at Nick Diaz as a professional athlete EXCEPT Nick Diaz. He's got all the tools and skills to have a phenomenal fight career. It PAINS me to see him squandering it over getting high. Homie, PLEASE!...put DOWN the blunt. By the way, what ever happened to Diaz's desire to take up pro boxing? ....guess he got stoned and forgot he said that.

Noons will duck Diaz like a mother fucker. Until the price is right then he'll take his beating and his purse and fuck around doing something else for a while. Here's the news... Diaz ate some shots and, as a result, got the big L in his column that night. A rematch doesn't prove shit. If Diaz wins it, that fucker will stomp around saying how he finally proved he's the better man, blah blah blah. He's not. He lost. And all the self promotion, trash-talking, and coverage would just blow it waaaaay out of proportion. Diaz is a good fighter when in the cage, but he needs to just shut the fuck up and accept that he lost one, not keep bitching and whining about how. He ought to be saying "Noons isn't bad, but it's a shame it ended like that." To keep saying how shitty the guy is YOU LOST TO makes you... well... worse? Imagine if he'd lost a decision. He'd just be flat-out hard to live with.
