“surprisingly entertaining back-and-forth brawl” – are you serious? Some of the other fights were excellent, I’m really starting to wonder whether or not Khalidov could make it in the US for example, but the Pudz fight was completely ridiculous. Neither fighter had energy to even move after 2 minutes and I’ve never shittier boxing than what they did in that fight.
If I ever thought that there would be a CP thread boasting Thompsons chin…

@Higgz – You’re right, he didn’t seem to be complaining about it. The over-enthusiastic towel boys were a bit much. How much fluid spills in the corner during a break anyway?? Maybe Mariusz peed himself. Those guys could wring out the towels and sell the remnants at local gyms, it’s practically pure juice!

Is it just me, or did Mariusz seem to receive a bit of hometown favouritism here? The bogus glove repair halfway through round 1 that wasn’t exactly rushed? The TWO AND A HALF!!! minute break between rounds (helped along by some excessive mat mopping)? His cardio is infamously bad, it just stinks a bit of ‘let’s give our guy a break whenever we can’ syndrome.
Watching it on mute, it kinda looks like the ref defeated Lindland via rape choke…

That was quite a battle between Thompson and Pudzianowski! Not very technical but it was balls to the wall. I didn’t even recognize Thompson. He must’ve put on 100 lbs since last I seen him. Damn! Matt Lindland can’t catch a break anymore. I swear he grew that beard with the hope that it would provide some cushion on his chin. Lot of good that did him since he still lost conscientiousness in yet another fight.
All guys who are afraid of a shot or have been KO’d easy before wear big ass beards. Andrei Arlovski, Matt Lindland, Lesnar, Randy, BJ Penn, Urijah, Belfort… ok, I made up the last ones.
