10 Legendary MMA Fighters You've Probably Never Heard Of

At Least We Know That Jose Canseco Is Watching Some Actual MMA Training

After watching this video of Jose Canseco in the gym with Nick Diaz and his boys, we still don’t know whether the former slugger is really learning anything about fighting.  All we know is that he has seen what real training looks like when professionals do it, and that he had the foresight to make sure that somebody was shooting video of him while he witnessed it. 

Honestly, this might be a more interesting video if we could remove Canseco from the frame altogether.  Then you’d just have Nick Diaz explaining some of the finer points of the clinch game, which is pretty awesome.  If that’s not enough to hold your attention, there’s also some Fifty Cent to bob your head to.  See?  Something for everyone.  Except Jose Canseco.  He only watches videos if Jose Canseco is in them, which results in him watching a lot of really annoying videos.  Or unintentionally hilarious ones…


They all called him a madman.  And after he had behaved so rationally.  What a crime.

What Nick says to Jose is on point of course, but seriously, that's not exactly a clinic on how to instruct an MMA noob. You don't rattle off 10 points in a row, regardless of how money they are, that's called overloading and Jose's not gonna learn shit. This stuff comes as easy as breathing to Nick, not so much to Jose. Show him the "arm in" move for keeping balance when an opponent shoots a single-leg, let him try it 100 times, THEN move on to controlling the head. Obviously Jose's not gonna amount to shit in the MMA world, but Nick ain't doin him any favors, in my humble oppinion.

Nick and company don't need to love Cansucko in order to make some easy money. I'm in support of them taking as much of Cansucko's money as possible.

I like Nick Diaz, but whatever value system he lives by is totally inaccessible to me. He tries to come off as anti-establishment, but he sees no problem with helping Jose Canseco use the sport for publicity and money? Canseco isn't going to learn shit; he's only good for starring in youtube videos, appearing in photos with the Diaz brothers, and getting the shit kicked out of him.

It's funny how articulate Diaz sounds when he's explaining technique. When he's in his comfort zone he doesn't sound like a crazy person.

Wow Jose Canseco is probably paying a shit ton of money to do exactly what all of us here on CP just did for free; watch Nick Diaz teach proper clinch fighting techniques. It seems he's taking this training about as seriously as we all expected him to. Who would have seen that one coming?
