I have to say I didn't like either candidate completely. There were probably better candidates out there but the media machine didn't pick them up. One thing on my mind as a military veteran is the current war on terrorism. You're not going to sit down and talk with a terrorist. They'll say whatever you want to get exactly what they want. Panic, then realization, then panic again, Obama’s proposed income tax increases (which won’t even be put forward for a vote until after the country is out of the current recession – i.e. in a couple years) are in the neighborhood of 2 to 3 percent, and would only apply to additional income you earn over and above the $250,000 threshold. So if you make $300,000 a year, your taxes would go up a whopping one or to two thousand dollars (2-3% of the additional $50K). And if you’re like most Americans and have a ton of deductions for your mortgage interest, children, etc., your federal income taxes will barely go up at all. Phasing social security payroll taxes back in for dollars earned above the $250,000 threshold is another potential issue, but you’ll really only feel it if you’re making a lot more than $250,000. If the increase in payroll taxes saves the system and actually results in you being able to collect social security when you retire, you might even come out ahead. It’s not going to kill you. As for me, I’m under 30, make over $250K, pay a TON of taxes (federal, state and NYC tax + no mortgage interest deduction or dependents) and own a PC. I’m not thrilled about the prospect of paying more in taxes, but the last eight years have been a f*cking disaster in every possible way. Iraq was a gigantic clusterf*ck, we’re running record deficits and our economy has been run into the ground. No one is claiming that Iraq NEVER had a WMD program. It did back in the 1980s and early 1990s. The issue is that Iraq didn’t have a WMD program when we invaded them. We destroyed a lot of their WMD program during the first gulf war and the Iraqi government dismantled the rest of it – all several years before 2001. Not surprisingly, Iraq didn’t destroy its chemical weapons in an environmentally sensitive way. That’s why there’s mustard gas in the rivers. The yellow cake is a different matter. You can’t just blow it up or dump it in a river. You have to store it somewhere safe. That said, pointing to Iraq’s stockpile of yellow cake and calling it a nuclear bomb is like pointing to a slab of iron ore and an oil well and calling it a space shuttle. The threat of Iraq making a nuclear bomb out if its stockpile of yellow cake was about as real as the threat of me creating the Mona Lisa out of the old can of paint in my closet.

You really think that nearly 100% of the Black vote went to Obama for any other reason than the fact that he's black? You're an idiot if you don't acknowledge that, or at least you're in denial. There sure are a lot of homophobics on MMA sites. You'd think guys that roll would be comfortable with their sexuality. But maybe its some kind of release for guys in denial? As soon as I became 100% comfortable with my sexuality as a straight guy I became totally cool with the gay community... anyone who isn't comfortable is harboring some kind of secret or uncertainty about themselves IMO.

The funny thing is he's not even "black" if you think "black" means "African-American". He's ARAB-American. Many researchers are saying he's 6.25% African Negro, 50% Caucasian, and 43.75% Arab. He's dark complected with black curly hair but that doesn't make him a black man in the traditional sense of the word... He's about as black as a Japanese person is Korean - easy enough to confuse white people. His ancestors are Arabs. Some researchers say they were Arab slave traders actually. I agree with the commenter who said bringing the whole race issue into the election took us back 50 years. It's not supposed to be an issue... aren't we all supposed to be color blind now?

You’re all silly if you think a new president is going to make a large change in this country. If you are not a sheep, cattle or lemming and you make your own decisions making your self and the people close to you happy and fruitful, your cool. Its the mobs of uneducated sidetracked animals whom cant figure out how to support them selves and worse the so-called "intelligent and successful people" of whom don’t realize education, morals, self respect and family values are lost and the concept of personal self enrichment needs to be immersed in to our society; or even worse yet, they know but do nothing to fix the problem. My message to everyone reading this is this: Help your self, help others, treat others the way you wish to be treated, don’t litter, be the change you wish to be in the world, open your mind, Feel, live, love. Find the true beauty in everything living and non-living (don’t forget your self), stay positive don’t allow negativity in to your life. Happiness comes from within and its a choice, Dream bigger and make it a reality, find your own burning desire and follow it, chase it with every ounce of will you have. You just might be surprised how brilliant life is if you really check it out. Peace love and Happiness to all.
