Look Out World, Patrick Cote Is Walking Again!

Patrick Cote‘s knee surgery was a success and he’s now walking again with the aid of a brace, according to MMA News. So watch out, Anderson Silva. In eight or nine months "The Predator" will be back to "fuck [you] up really bad" once more. And I hear he’s been watching lots of YouTube videos during his convalescence, so this time he’ll be ready for your 52 Blocks.

Nah, just kidding. He won’t. And if he ever does get another shot at Silva, assuming he even wants one, he’ll have to get it the old-fashioned way: by hanging around until there is positively no one else left.

Wilson Gouveia is already trying to call next on the champ, telling Fighters Only that he could "fight Anderson Silva tomorrow if they let me." Might want to get a couple more middleweight bouts under your belt first, Wilson. Also might want to show that you can make the weight.

Cote faked the whole injury, he felt a sweet A. Silva knockout coming in the third minute of the round, that is clearly a photoshopoed picture with Cotes head on it of when Shogun was in the hospital with a knee injury.

I've been looking at this 52 blocks shit, and I have to say it looks effective for street fighting. But as far as MMA, it might be a bit less effective, just because of the added grappling. However, it looks like something that could be used once in a while if the situation permits.

But really we know it wasn't the slippery ads that caused Cote's knee to give out. It was a true example of Silva's technique in the Dim Mak. It was a delayed reaction that could have proven fatal if Silva so chose. But rather he chose to use it to simply end the fight.

Soon the Dim Mak will be banned from the octagon based purely on how boring it made that fight, and when Silva kills a man with it.

What is with American Top Team and failing to make weight? You have an obvious roid freak in Alves, who seems to cycle off soon enough to pass the piss test, but not soon enough to drop a little bit of his chemically enhanced muscle mass for the scales. Then you have a lazy POS like Gouveia who can't keep his stupid ass on a treadmill. This is a coaching issue, and one that ATT should rectify soon.
