Demian Maia continues to impress...I thought (not beforehand, but after watching the first minute of the fight) that Sonnen might actually have his way with him.

And combo of the night goes to Marquardt! He obviously plays too much Tekken. That last kick-kick-punch-spinnybackfisty-thing was a joy to behold.

Fight Of The Night went to Joe "Froto Baggins" Stevenson and Diego "Harry Potter" Sanchez........Wow I know Zuffa has to hype up the free events but this was a mockery of the true talent that exists in the UFC such as Damien Maia........the quick KO's made the night not the main event.

FOTN for Stevenson-Sanchez? That fight was about as exciting as any Machida match.

Knee bar was submission of the night for me.

KO of the Night: Dan Hardy, it was clearly the most brutal one.

I love when Rogan and Diego were ragging on Joe about not changing his ways and blah blah blah. But almost evey combo that Diego threw was the body uppercut with the occasional kick here and there. Joe was just stupid by not adapting to the same combo.

Pretty boring fight. Nate and Gouveia should have won that award.

What the hell is the significance of Snatchez going the distance with Joe Daddy when KenFlo and Penn walked through him? Snacthez was not impressive.

Racking up wins against B-level fighters using only jiu-jitsu, Maia's luck and consciousness will run out very quickly fighting top tiered middleweights. Maia's striking looked a little sloppy to me, and a excellent counterpuncher like Silva would put him in la-la land pretty damn quick.

Before a shot at Silva, Maia should have to face some better competition first.

As for the rest of the fights, Terry Etim looked great in his, much better than in his previous fights. Sanchez vs. Stevenson wasn't bad, wasn't great either. I'm sure as Sanchez adjusts to being a lightweight, he'll improve more than what we saw last night.

Koscheck getting ktfo'd is always a good watch, and I'll reserve judgment on the early stoppage, but will say the referee's aren't there to ensure the fans get to see brutal stoppages or KO's. It's their responsiblility to ensure a clean fight and fighters' safety. It is what it is.

Marquardt did a fine job, and looks to be returning to his old ways. As for a rematch with Silva... it didn't work out so well for Franklin, and doubt it will be any different with Marquardt.

Don't remember the other fights off the top of my head, was into the vodka and OJ last night. Good thing I recorded it on the dvr.

excellent fight bonus winners....just as I predicted....well all but koscheck getting KOed, I kinda had that one reversed.....close but no cigar.
Course now cupcake is whining like a bitch, him and BJ make great representation of UFC, buncha crybabys.

Maia's ground skills are amazing and it's good to see a pure jiu jitsu fighter doing well. That being said, fighting Anderson who has far superior stand up and is no slouch on the ground is bad news for him.

Alongside Lyoto Machida getting the only KO on a card, Demian Maia winning a fight by anything other than submission would be a total freak occurrence, right? These are signs of the apocalypse, aren't they? Old man Shamrock vs Tank is of course the third.

Demain Maia's triangle was so amazing. He just set that up so well from that crazy take down he busted that dropped Sonnen on his head, and he immediately set up his leg over Sonnen's shoulder. Maia looked like he gave Sonnen a choice, tap by triangle or armbar.... Sonnen opted for a triangle.

Fight of the night for that pile of shit?
