@ Fried Taco – If you mean a TKD-style tornado kick, I think nobody uses it because it leaves you very open for takedowns since you lose your base when doing it.

If you mean an SFII-style tornado kick, I think Nick Diaz tried it once against Gomi, but said he was countered with “some little hadouken fuckin’ punch, that busted my shit up.” I had always thought the tornado kick simply went over a hadouken, but I guess not. So I don’t know how well the tornado kick translates to MMA.
