One way to defeat the slow lag times used 10 + years ago for Youbet.com was to install into the network a “streaming rate controller”. Back then, it was used for the sliding quality of DSL connections across the USA.

Rule is: Send one 100K stream to one user, and you require 200K of bandwidth. It gets spending fast when you have to order large pipes from AT&T on a dedicated basis to move your data to collocated distribution.

Why, because over the open interweb you will drop packets,have packets discarded, and have to resend lost data. This affects buffer and display times on the user side and makes for unhappy end users,

CP doesn’t have their own closed loop network, they supply hyperlinks and redirects. Hence they have no real network, and no costs. Flip side is, they have zero control over the videos we watch.

i doubt pacquiao would take the fight already he’s only got a few fights left in his career, taking this fight or not he’s still p4p best, hall of famer, etc. he wouldn’t want to take his biggest test now specially when he’s the people champ in the philippines. mayweather’s antics and trashtalking towards pacquiao made mayweather the philippines’s #1 enemy. so losing against mayweather would really be a huge blow. pacquiao not being able to knock out his past few opponents already received a lot of negativity in the philippines, so losing to the philippine’s #1 enemy would be a nightmare. pacquiao has a lot to lose in this fight. if only this fight happened 2-3 years ago, where he is a lot stronger and faster. now, its hard to see pacquiao beating mayweather, unless pacquiao survives 12 rounds, we all know everyone is in favor of pacquiao to win that fight.

For example, Rashad and Keith Jardine both showed that unless Rampage hits you on the button like he did to Wanderlei, you can recover from one of his hard punches within a minute or two even if it staggers you. The same was shown by Jake Shields and Shogun against Henderson.

Alvarez, however, is one of those rare talents whose so powerful that it’s impossible to recover from one of his shots during a round. If Alvarez lands a hard left to your body, your stamina is gone for the remainder of the round and can’t be regained until you get a break on your stool, sort of like losing an energy bar in a fighting video game. This was shown during his recent fight with Cintron. A Canelo/Mayweather fight would be interesting because even though Mayweather has tremendous defense, a few of Alvarez’s shots inevitably are going to land (though unbeaten, Mayweather’s not perfect and gets hit with a few shots in every fight). If Canelo can stagger Mayweather like Mosley did to him during the second round, Mayweather isn’t going to be able to regain his composure without a break in his corner, and Canelo would have the best chance of finishing Mayweather of any opponent to date.

In my opinion, it would be a mistake for Floyd to fight Alvarez at this point in his career. Alvarez is a monster.

Floyd is only challenging for 1 of 2 reasons… maybe both. 1-Pacmans last fight did show a way to neutralize his pace… and 2- He must know the fight won’t happen for other reasons. If Alex Ariza’s public statements following the recent Marquez fight are to be believed, Arum and Koncz are doing everything they can to keep Pacquiao from fighting Mayweather. They purportedly don’t want to see their cash cow get exposed, and Arum wants Pacquiao to keep fighting guys he copromotes so that he’ll get double commissions. At this point, I’d almost rather see Mayweather take on Sergio Martinez, Canelo Alvarez, or maybe even Marcos Maidana.
