Steroids in MMA
Which MMA Fighter Will Test Positive For Steroids Next?

Mayweather Jr. Answers Questions Two Dudes ‘Axe’ him About De La Hoya, Merchant, Ortiz and Pacquiao

(Video courtesy of 45)

Anyone who ever complains about the growing number of MMA fanboys with URL’s and podcasts claiming to be journalists needs to listen to the clip above of two dudes, who are obvious fans of Floyd Mayweather, feeding the boxing champ softball questions. In fact, some of the questions aren’t actually questions at all, but on the bright side, at least we sort of get to hear what Floyd has to say about a few things.

One of the interviewers is a DJ by the name of “DJ Whoo Kid” and the other seems to be DJ WK’s hype man and FMJ’s biggest fan, given his numerous nuthugging statements like “Ortiz got exactly what he deserved after that headbutt.” He obviously wasn’t listening during the first half of the interview as he continually asks the exact same questions as Whoo Kid.

As a public service for those readers who can’t (or won’t) sit through the interview, check out the key points:

• Floyd says Pacquiao is irrelevant and can fight his leftovers

• He doesn’t know who or when he’s fighting next, but he’s downplaying a fight with Pacquiao even though the fans want to see it

• He says Pacquiao is afraid to “take the test,” which is a reference to Manny’s refusal to do weekly Olympic drug testing during camp for the bout

• He knew Larry Merchant wouldn’t give up pestering him about the “cheap shot” he hit Ortiz with

• Mayweather has no preference between Merchant and Max Kellerman because they’re “pretty much the same” and neither want to give him his credit

• He would prefer to see Lennox Lewis do post-fight interviews

• He believes that Emmanuel Steward, Larry Merchant and Jim Lampley want to find a fighter to beat him, but he says they would need to bring in a robot to get the job done

• Floyd isn’t worried about Merchant’s claim that he’d kick his ass if he was 50 years younger

• He blames Ortiz for the controversy since “somebody started it and [he] finished it”

• He says the ref called “time-in” and all of the kissing and hugging is unnecessary and is supposed to be reserved for after the fight

• He says Oscar De La Hoya is jealous of him

Whether MMA is increasingly mainstream or not... WHO THE FUCK CARES about the difference between rap and hip hop? tomayto tomahto, it doesn't change what the shit sounds like
Todd M- October 4, 2011 at 9:32 pm
Il let my boy KRS One tell ya's, Rap is something you do, Hip Hop is something you live. In other words Rapping is the lyrical format where as Hip Hop is the whole lifestyle, MCing(Rappin), DJing, Break Dancing and Graffiti, these are the 4 elements of Hip Hop. Oh yeah Hip Hop is not dead it just isn't on the radio.

El Guapo- October 4, 2011 at 10:42 am
Good hip hop.

Two things. Music was better back in the day and DAMN I'M GETTING OLD.
El Guapo- October 4, 2011 at 10:39 am
Good rap.
El Guapo- October 4, 2011 at 10:36 am
"Don't one of you mothaf'kas have sickle cell or something?"
Ahhh, those were the days. Just to be clear (and because I kind of started everyone on this tangent last night), I know the difference between rap and hip hop. I repeat, rap is dead to me. As in, "Daaaamn, homie, in high school you were the maaaaaan, homie." And hip hop is on friggin life support.
Stak40- October 4, 2011 at 10:29 am
Farmer-agreed with your comment on today rap/hiphop music. DJ WK I think are in the evenings or weekends. Again he mostly does mixes with a lot of underground stuff, which are the best times to listen for the music in my opinion. Times when people aren't typically in their cars. You might be talking about Rude Jude and Lord Sere. They are on weekdays during the drive home. Them fools are pretty funny but they are forced to play that same shit that is on the radio.

Ringo- I got you pimp, I was mostly just fucking with you.
Ringo- October 4, 2011 at 9:40 am
@Stak, i was just saying that if you are fan of MMA you may be a fan of other combat sports (see related article: ), so thats why it would make sense to have boxing info in here, but music, thats a whole different deal... so if you don't know a "musician" it shouldnt matter.
ArmFarmer- October 4, 2011 at 9:39 am
Thanks for the explanation Stak, that sheds some light on the subject. Honestly though, I use to listen to shade45 or whatever its called like every day, and I still didn't know who the guy was. There are two guys on that station with very distinct voices, I'd recognize them, maybe he just wasn't memorable enough for me.
I am white, but I do listen to all kinds of music. I liked the 90's-early 2000's rap, unfortunately that style has either died or been relegated to the underground, because the rap or hip hop or whatever they play on the radio these days really sucks. I'd rather listen to someone rap about smoking blunts and killing people than another repetitive dance mix that consists mostly of someone repeatedly yelling at the dj to "turn the beat up" or "put your hands in the air" or wtf ever.

I have no problem with whatever content they put on this website be it boxing or music. I was simply stating that based on Ringos logic then why put a Boxing article on an MMA website with no direct correlation to MMA. I agree with what your saying but i dont think it applies to my comment. BossNasty isnt racist he is just an asshole. An asshole with low tolerance of people commenting on shit they know nothing about. This article is a prime example of that. It would be like me talking about how stupid an interviewer some country singer is because of the question he asked Donald Cerrone on XM channel 32 Hillbilly Hoedown. I can see how if you arent a fan of Hiphop or Rap that you would have a hard time telling the difference and really with the shit out there today the line is only getting even more blurry. Boss' original point is that as big as MMA is now and how many cultures, communities, countries, social status' is crosses that he would think that at least a few people on here would know a lil something about Hiphop and Rap. I can not lie, i believe the Caucasian Persuasion is probably overwhelmingly the majority of the commenters here on the CP.
ArmFarmer- October 4, 2011 at 9:23 am
I would think so, I make it quite clear. Chael Sonnen is a god among men.
I don't know what you mean by comparing positive and negative tones. Are you talking about from my comments? You'd almost always find a negative tone there. I'm kind of a dick most of the time.
BossNasty- October 4, 2011 at 9:21 am
@ArmFarmer you sure do make a good point. I wonder what you would find if you looked back at those 5-6 years of time you've been on this site and compared articles with a positive tone to a negative tone, and not just the articles but the comments section as well. Call me what you like, I gives a rat's ass. There was no need to confirm your love for Chael, everyone already knew that.
BossNasty- October 4, 2011 at 9:12 am
@ArmFarmer see MrBloneSL if you still need an explanation, you wouldn't understand it. Ask your mom who Tom Jones is, she'll tell you (seriously, that wasn't a diss).
ArmFarmer- October 4, 2011 at 9:10 am
Boxing is a combat sport that shares similarities with mma, is incorporated in mma, and many atheletes from both sports cross over to the other to compete. Many mixed martial artists compete in boxing, many boxers compete in mixed martial arts. While many like to claim "it's pointless to compare, it's apples to oranges!", I think it only makes since to compare apples to oranges. Why compare apples to apples? Should we discuss mma vs mma? There's nothing to talk about. Boxing and mma, however, offer plenty to discuss and debate over. Music and mma? That's more like apples and sparkplugs.. there really is no common ground worth discussing between mma and music. Does that answer your question?
ArmFarmer- October 4, 2011 at 9:03 am
Call me crazy, but I'm getting the impression bossnasty is a bit racist towards whites... and in the 5 or 6 years I've been commenting on this site, I don't think I've ever accused anyone of being racist before. I do love me some Chael Sonnen though, you got me there.
ArmFarmer- October 4, 2011 at 9:00 am
Still fail to see the correlation between mma becoming mainstream and mma fans knowing the difference between rap and hip hop... reasonable explanation or stfu. Also, who is tom jones?
shitbag- October 4, 2011 at 8:59 am
@Grimmy Rocket Surgery?
Stak40- October 4, 2011 at 8:53 am
Ringo based on your philosophy why write and article on boxing?
Ringo- October 4, 2011 at 8:52 am
What does music have to do with MMA? this is MMA website last time I checked, so what if we don't know the guy??!
BossNasty- October 4, 2011 at 8:34 am
ArmFarmer If you have to ask what that means then that means you should just turn up your Tom Jones CD and shut the fuck up. If you don't know what grown folks are talkin about then stay in your place chump.
Grimmy- October 4, 2011 at 8:33 am
The whole reason for having DJ WK interview him is to try to connect the two different audiences. Cross marketing. its not rocket surgury people.

and just because a small community of MMA fans do not know who the DJ guy is, does not make them stupid. I challenge you to spout off the names of the top ten...hell...give me the names of ANY ten people who are big in the music industry, but ONLY in thier native countries overseas, such as Europe and India.

people there who are big fans of these stars will think you are stupid for never having heard of them.

its all a matter of perspective.

steps down from the podium now

its funny that one of the captcha words for this post was "diplomacy"
Ani703- October 4, 2011 at 7:58 am
Floyd Mayweather is afraid to fight Pacquiao. Just like everyone else on this planet, he knows Pacquiao will Fuck him up.
ArmFarmer- October 4, 2011 at 7:43 am
Bossnasty: "You would think as mainstream as MMA is becoming that it’s fans would know the difference between rap and hip hop."

What the fuck does that mean? Are you retarded?

You know everyone knows unicorns are mythical, therefore we should eat oranges. I just made a more logical statement than yours.

Top sex films, Sex tool for sell that you will like them ,welcome to
Stak40- October 4, 2011 at 6:57 am
El Guapo, I'm with you mainstream rap music sucks, there is still some good underground shit out there though.

All, again i don't get how people get so wrapped up in fighters personalities. Is this a fucking popularity contest? I get that people enjoy certain personalities of fighters but keep the shit in perspective. EX: HD, great guy, funny, cant beat a top 8 fighter. Nick Diaz, complete dumb ass but always brings it and mostly wins.
