Xtreme Couture welterweight Mike "Quicksand" Pyle will step in for injured Dong Hyun Kim to face fast-rising British welterweight John "The Hitman" Hathaway at UFC 120 on October 16 at the O2 Arena in London, England.
The bout was first reported by Gareth Davis of the UK’s The Daily Telegraph and CagePotato.com has since confirmed the bout with sources close to both camps.
Pyle (20-7-1) is 2-2 in his UFC career with wins over Jesse Lennox and Chris Wilson and losses to Jake Ellenberger and Brock Larson.
4-0 in the Octagon, Hathaway (14-0), an undefeated product of London Shootfighters, logged the biggest win of his career – a unanimous decision over TUF 1 middleweight winner Diego Sanchez in his last fight at UFC 114 in May.
Also on the card will be a main event middleweight match-up between Yoshihiro Akiyama and Michael Bisping as well as a welterweight contendership bout between Carlos Condit and Dan Hardy.

commentsZimmer has HUGE following over in England.
Hathaway looks like a great prospect. The guy is super respectable and a warrior.
Steve Cantwell has been really working on his Jujube Jitsu, I hope TBA has taken this into account when they meet October 16 at the O2 Arena in London, England.
I think Steve has a real chance of upsetting TBA. JMO
Oh and don't forget the Bluth Family annual TBA fundraiser is coming up.
Travis Browne and Cheick Kongo should be an entertaining KO, and Hardy Condit is tough to call. Good fights, but good thing its not a PPV.
War Hardy!
Pretty nice card. I'd like to see what Hathaway is made of, and if he keeps on the same track hopefully a new title contender.
