MMA Fighter Ross Clifton Reportedly Dead at 32


(R.I.P., big fella)

Ross Clifton, the MMA fighter perhaps best known for his bout with Ken Shamrock at a February Wargods event, is reportedly dead of a heart attack at 32, according to MMA Weekly.  He was found by his wife on Friday morning.  His trainer, Cal Worsham, confirmed the news and described Clifton as "a jovial teddy bear in the body of a grizzly."  Clifton began his pro career in 2001 and most recently lost via first-round TKO against Rick Vardell in July.  Thoughts, prayers, whatever you do…

Oh, internet. Thank you for the great gift of anonymous hyenas, wheezing away at the death of an overweight man who dared step into a cage and do something that they could not for fear of having to wash the Cheeto dust out of their fingernails.

Sad for his wife and family. Guy seemed like a poor loser (according to the video of the Shamrock fight, shoving Ken away after he went up to say "hey" after) and was clearly a piss poor fighter, but he had the balls to do something most of the anemic keyboard commandos here would never be able to pull themselves away from Warcraft to even attempt.

I love all these fucks that act superior to everyone else because they feign sadness at the death of some guy they knew nothing about. Honestly, what do you people know about him other than his name? It's not like he got hit by a bus. he died from something that was a direct result of his overeating. How many people out there die from starvation every day? do those people even cross your mind or do you only feel sadness for people who's names you know. There's a reason why people like him are called MORBIDLY obese. it's because being that fat can kill them. If anything you should be mad at this guy for not giving enough of a shit about his family to lay off the damn hamburgers.

first of all, i am saddened that a man with a family died at such a young age, but... he was friends with dan quinn right? why didnt dan tell his "friend" about the miracle cure that melted 68 lbs from his uncle bob johnson. it probly woulda saved his life. also, if quinn is such a profit, y didnt he see this comming and do somthin?

Obviously it sucks boys, he could have avoided it though. Being that overweight is out of control. Doctors guaranteed told him hes at high risk of heart disease/failure and yet he failed to do something about it. Regardless of who it is though and the cause of death, 32 is way too young to die.
