I can't get over the Forrest Griffin statement.. almost makes me think someone's trolling. Seriously, not one valid comparison can be made from that fight. Forrest isn't even that good, he looked like he was moving in slow motion in the Franklin fight I was watching that thinking "no wonder silva mopped these two up". GSP brings everything to the table that Forrest doesn't, AND I believe he's a better striker on top of that.

Do I feel like GSP has the ability to win? Yes. Do I think he will walk through Shields like he did Penn? No. GSP has failed to finish his last three opponents and giving that much time, I find it hard to imagine a scenario where Jake will be unable to get a hold of him at some point...

Anderson Silva is a legend. But, after seeing what Jon Jones has done I would have to weigh in on the side of Jones in this potentially huge "super-fight", as the kids say. Anderson would of course have a shot at a flash knockout if he can counter Jones' range and dynamics but I see this most likely ending in a TKO for Jones by one way (slippery and creative take-down into Brandon Vera-like face smashing elbow for instance) or another. It would be an amazing fight though and I would much rather see this than see St. Pierre dry hump Anderson to a decision (save for a chance Triangle from Anderson or uh...flash knockout utilizing his natural, near dance of lanky destruction.)

It is all pre-fight hype. Did everyone forget that Sheilds bearly beat Martin Kampmann? Did everyone forget the first round of the Dan Henderson Fight? The only reason he beat Hendo is because Hendo gassed due to the weight cut. Jesus Christ. Also, the Silva GSP fight is never going to happen. GSP stands a big chances of getting destroyed. What are you talkin about dude. Silva TOTALLY said that he'd go up to 205 for the right fights. Anywho......I'd like to see either of the "super fights" mentioned. You're not a real fan if GSP/Silva, Silva/Bons, GSP/Diaz don't appeal to you (IMO).

Shield's best chance is to lay on GSP for 5 rounds. Just like he did with Miller (who was .02 secs away from being subbed at the bell), he won't be able to strike or sub for fear that GSP will stand up.

Sadly I feel that this will be 25 minutes of "Who's the catcher?" with GSP doing most of the "pitching"....
