Must-See Video: ‘MMA 2010 Highlights’

From dramatic come-from-behind victories to face-plant knockouts to completely unexpected upsets, MMA in 2010 was as entertaining as it was shocking. This brand-new new highlight video serves as a good reminder of how crazy things got, even if it seems to focus only on stoppages. (Leonard Garcia vs. Chan Sung Jung, Megumi Fujii vs. Zoila Frausto, and the Penn vs. Edgar double-header were as notable as any other fights this year, but they don’t get any screen time here.) bj knocking out matt hughes was more impressive than most of the fights on this video. wouldnt be surprised if the person compiling the video doesnt wear rvca.

It showed Joe Warren at the end, but didn't include his knockout to win the title. That was a highlight for sure. And maybe Alvarez's beating of Huerta.

Epic crescendo at Fedor's tap was pretty awesome. It didn't work as much for Chael's tap because I couldn't help but imagine what was going through his mind, probably something like, "I forgot about the damn triangle again!"

Hell yes to Ricardo Lamas knocking out Casimir's mouthpiece with the knee in Columbus, I was so freaking there. Props to Pettis for the same reason.

Lawlor/Manhoef definitely belongs. Cole Escovedo's Mortal Kombat-esque kick combo makes up for the lack of Roop's headkick. Still love Leben's powerful wrist-and-forearm punches on Akiyama with the triangle locked too.

I laughed at Couture/Toney. It's MMA highlights, not freakshow highlights. Overeem's drubbing of Brett Rogers would have been more fitting, they're both MMA fighters (most of the time) but whatev.
