Must Urijah Faber Be So Laid Back In Every Situation?

Urijah Faber surgery
(Nothing, not even that hair net, can get "The California Kid" down.)

Apparently it wasn’t enough for Urijah Faber to post X-rays of his broken right hand on Twitter after his loss to Mike Brown at WEC 41.  Now he’s also chronicling his journey into surgery to have it fixed, while calmly wondering if he may have broken the left hand, too.  Because wouldn’t that just be a kick in the balls?  Clearly, nothing bums this guy out that much.  Which is probably how you have to be in order to live the life of a pro fighter.  Post-fight surgery is just part of the deal.  Of course, so are post-fight groupies, so maybe it all evens out in the end.

Urijah Faber = Beast And I still think he could've beaten Brown if he hadn't injured his hands.

@ jay smith i 100% agree. Faber basically faught the whole fight with one hand and almost only using elbow strikes (due to his injured hands) and still didnt get knocked out or submitted. thats pretti impressive.

For sure, Urijah would kill brown with two healthy hands. There will be a third.

I saw the X-Ray of Faber's hand and it's the pinky and ring finger that broke in his hand. The way people do this is because they punch, or catch the wrong part, incorrectly. I'm not saying Faber doesn't know how to punch. But I was always taught to punch with the big two knuckles.

Personally, I think Urijah carried the first and second rounds based on his efficient use of the dread mullet alone.

I definitely think Faber could've beat Brown with his hands still intact. but if they go for Faber vs Brown III, Brown will have a significant mental edge over Faber. I respect both guys tons and I can't wait for a third matchup if it ever goes down.

5 rounds with 2 broken hands? Someone give this guy a fucking medal.

y'all delirious. Yes, Faber is a warrior, but, same outcome when they meet again. Brown is too big, too dominant and can easily absorb Fabers' blows. Faber cant hurt Brown like he did his smaller, weaker, slower opponents. He's meet his match. Face it.

I really hope he gets that 3rd match up. @Danxxx LOL I totally agree, bit&#h slap is the only way to go!

@ T Rex You're completely full of shit. Contrary to your professional opinion of Urijah's x-ray Dr. Rex, he didn't break his pinky and ring finger, he broke the 4th & 5th metacarpal bones...hence a broken hand and not broken fingers. And you keep on punching with those "big two knuckles". Sounds like your trainer at the gym is a genius too.
