Steroids in MMA
Which MMA Fighter Will Test Positive For Steroids Next?

Oh Yeah, Josh Hendricks is Cut Too

(Not so fun while it lasted.)

Josh “Heavy” Hendricks has one thing going for him: he doesn’t have to worry about anyone putting him in a video game. His knockout loss to Gabriel Gonzaga was enough to get him bounced from the UFC after only one fight. Granted, he did not look like he was up to the level of competition in the UFC. Gonzaga absolutely dominated him in his brief few minutes in the Octagon, before knocking him out and then punching him again while Steve Mazzagatti was busy sorting out his tax deductions in his head.

But at the same time, making your UFC debut against a guy like Gonzaga is a tough way to start and finish. It’s kind of like being brought up to the majors for one at-bat to face a pitcher who almost made the All-Star team last year. You strike out on three pitches, no one in the clubhouse says a word to you, and the next day you catch a Greyhound back to Rancho Cucamonga to play for the Quakes again. And yes, that type of thing has been known to happen in baseball, so this isn’t a case of the UFC being uncommonly dickish. It’s just another one of the normal dickish things that happens in pro sports.

Best of luck in your future endeavors, Hendricks. At least now you’ll have plenty of time to pound out that screenplay you’ve always wanted to write about the aliens that come to earth to intervene in the Revolutionary War. Can’t wait to read it.

Hendricks is a soft pussy and always has been,But he is good at taking steroids and beating on "WOMEN" and thats why Dana White told him there would be no more fights in the ufc ....He needs to get in better shape and stop beating on WOMEN!!!

Rancho Cucamonga, thats the home of Millenia JJ, if Hendricks' Greyhound ride came here maybe it wouldn't be such bad idea to maybe forget about that effin screen play. and maybe Javier Vazquez would gve him that "do you want to be a F#cking fighter speech" that's actually not a bad idea for a screen play in itself

In defense of Josh Hendricks. First of all, who cares about lumps... they don't make a better fighter. How many of you are UFC or MMA fighters? IF you are... great, if not, than you shouldn't knock it if you have never been there. Josh's MMA record is phenominal, his ground and pound is amazing, maybe Google him and watch some of those fights, and maybe you could see why he was there. He had his shot, he lost... at least he made it there., I am sure he went further than any of you people posting your comments.

He didn't look good enough!

I have no problem with the UFC dropping him, he didn't get KO'd but just fetal postioned

totally not ready for the big time, Dana should drop him until he gets some big name wins under his belt.

A little harsh to make him go up against the man who high kick KO'd Crocop. Then again he sucked.

who cares about Heavy....WTF are all those bloody lumps and bumps all over his body? that shit is nasty....Good thing Napo never had to take him to the ground, and they avoided the clinch.

@Cap'n: So did Cro-Cop.

Josh wasn't out, he just gave up. He took a big shot, fell like a sack of shit, and laid there covering up. Gonzaga was like, "are you fucking serious?" Mazzagatti said, "shit, is he crying? hit him again." So Gonzaga did and the ref stopped it. He gave up, fuck him

I just want to chime in that I agree with what you wrote wholeheartedly. In this particular case, it's just the nature of the business. This shit happens all the time in the other major sports. I wish they'd utilize the WEC more though. Maybe send some of these guys to the "minors" instead of just letting them go.
Karmaatemycat- November 19, 2008 at 4:53 pm
He got KNOCKED the fuck out. He should have been more prepared when fighting at that weight class you better expect to get KNOCKED the fuck out. I mean seriously?! If you look like shit, fight like shit and smell like shit you get flushed like shit. It happens. btw TY for being OBJECTIVE "Ben"

Ohhh, you've got a big screenplay in the works?
Several acts, each with multiple scenes?
Lot's of, ummm, good characters?
Got a protagonist and one or more antagonists?
Got an, ummm, surprise twist, do you?
Everyone learns an important lesson in the end?
Music at the end while the credits roll by?

Mmmm, good luck with that.

He knocked out a guy who manages apartment complexesess. Wow, that put him a notch higher in my book, which puts him right on notch number 1
