25 years after Punch-Out!! first hit arcades, the beloved boxing series is having a bizarre rebirth via Internet videos. Two days ago, we saw the documentary style clip of Little Mac preparing to make his comeback — a viral ad for the title’s upcoming Wii relaunch. Now, there’s this completely-unrelated rap tribute to the game, which ScreenJunkies tells us is "the first installment in a series of old-school Nintendo-based music videos entitled ‘Gamerjamz’." Damn…I can’t wait for the Double Dragon tribute done in the style of DragonForce. (By the way, Gamerjamz, if you actually use that idea you have to credit me.)

And the Punch-Out!! love doesn’t stop there…


Here’s lookoutawhale‘s latest, in which he reprises the Punch-Out!! theme (also used in "Riddum Revenge #1") to remix Fedor Emelianenko‘s fight against Andrei Arlovski. If only Arlovski’s Bald Bull charge panned out…

maybe the caps lock guy has a point somewhere in thoses much too long and very ugly posts, but no way am i gonna read them. find new gimmick cause caps is pathetic and played out long ago. also, i can't believe people still argue about whether fedor would win or lose in the ufc. never ending argument if there ever was one, and yes it will never end because fedor will never fight in the ufc hahah

He won those fights on pure luck and by the mistakes of his opponents...his height and reach were probably the biggest factors though....and like you said, as soon as everyone else was able to get around his reach, he was meat....I know teenagers in the Martial Arts that would beat the piss out of Sylvia....he's 2nd rate with a 2nd rate hair cut....Tim Sylvia blows goats....we have proof....lol...

That thing with Fedor was so well-done it hurt. That fucking guy should (and probably does) do video editing for a living.


EDIT: And also, would one of the Ben's mind putting up a FRONT-PAGE article explaining to everyone that if they do that annoying as fuck "FIRST" bullshit, that they will be banned on sight. If you don't do a major announcement for it, people will complain. And if you don't do something about the firsts, your regulars will complain.
