(Mayhem Miller is back for another season of "Bully Beatdown," and he’s brought some friends with him.)
Good news for those of you whose lives have felt just a little bit emptier since the last time Tito Ortiz got his name in the news for actually fighting someone. Seems as though Ortiz and Mark Coleman will go at it at UFC 106 on November 21. Sources in Coleman’s camp say they’ve agreed to the bout, which means that as long as Ortiz doesn’t punk out the winner of this bout should have a career rejuvenation to be thankful for this year. The loser will spend the holiday gulping down whiskey in a rocking chair, looking out the window at the dead leaves on the lawn and thinking about when he was young and the future seemed more like a promise and less like a threat.
In other news…
- Spike TV sent out their typical ‘In your face!’ press release trumpeting their ratings victory over Strikeforce’s “Carano vs. Cyborg” event on Saturday. Spike’s replay of UFC 100 drew an average of 2 million viewers (513,000 in the “coveted” 18-34 year-old male demographic), while Strikeforce pulled in an average of 576,000 viewers (181,000 young dudes). Of course, Strikeforce was on a premium cable channel, while Spike usually comes with the basic package, so that’s not all that fair a comparison, though the UFC 100 replay also beat out the PGA Championship on CBS and Major League Baseball on Fox in the 18-34 year-old male demographic.
Funny thing about that rebroadcast, apparently they took the opportunity to make a few key edits, such as cutting out Joe Rogan’s comments about Alan Belcher being robbed, Dan Henderson’s comments about wanting to shut Michael Bisping up with his last punch, and most of the post-fight footage from the Brock Lesnar-Frank Mir fight. Because who doesn’t love a little revisionist history?
- Lastly, Shonie Carter and Carlos Newton are going to fight each other in October. So be a doll and wash Shonie’s pimp chalice for him, would you? And don’t put it through the goddamn dishwasher this time, or it’s going to be your ass that stays up all night gluing those bling stones back on.

UFC 100 Replay- They made Brock look like a saint- except for when he turned his back to Mir when the ref told them to touch gloves. I really hope somebody knocks his head off.
Finally, I'd love to see Coleman take out Tito.
