Quinton Jackson Scores B.A. Baracus Role in ‘The A-Team’

(Mr. T pities your broke-ass chain.)

According to The Sun, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has been confirmed for the role of perpetually angry B.A. Baracus in Joe Carnahan‘s movie remake of The A-Team. Jackson beat out rappers The Game and 50 Cent, who were also being considered for the role that Mr. T made famous. The casting is no surprise considering Jackson’s extensive acting reel, which includes being wrecked by Vinnie Jones in Midnight Meat Train, playing an MMA fighter in Never Surrender, and sexually assaulting our reporter. The flick is scheduled for release next summer, and will reportedly feature Liam Neeson as John "Hannibal" Smith and The Hangover star Bradley Cooper as Templeton "Face" Peck. The role of "Howling Mad" Murdock is still up for grabs at this time.

Howling Mad Murdock ---> Mayhem Miller

actually I would recast this all MMA:

Hannibal Smith ---> Joe Silva

Templeton "Face" Peck -----> Chuck Liddell (I mean chicks dig him right?)

Black Van with the red stripe -------> Tapout Bus

Announcer: And the academy award for best leg hump goes to... Clay Guida!

Rampage: Mother...[cut to commercial]

This could be appaling. I saw never surrender or whatever that piece of shit was called, and rampage is a marginally better actor than BJ pen. That being said, a cabbage patch doll on strings would have done the job better given a half decent puppeteer.

Rampage's cameo on Jackass is rarely mentioned but easily my favorite Rampage moment.

I think he primarily stands around in white sweatpants and then gives Ryan Dunn a ten second summary of MMA before Ryan steps into the cage with Nigel "The Hammer" Hudson.

The outcome of the match is extremely predictable.

Ving Rhames or Michael Clarke Duncan (or other big black dude with real acting chops) would have made a lot more sense... but I'd also love to see me some Rampage getting his B.A. on. Bring it. Can't wait for this flick.

Can Jim Carrey please play Murdock? If they end up putting someone like Owen Wilson in this, I'm gonna be sick....
Jay Smith- August 26, 2009 at 7:53 am
I wonder if they're gonna give him the mohawk and everything.....you know for the full Clubber Lang effect.

I pity the fool who get's between me and my Energy Drinks........
BigCountrysCholesterol- August 26, 2009 at 6:59 am
Problem solved; all they have to do is hire some Japanese chicks as flight attendants, and this B.A. will board the plane voluntarily.
SupermanPunch- August 26, 2009 at 6:57 am
yes, only a true thespian could handle this role
and Rampage is No Mr.T... wait a minute..

Ehh. According to the Sun. This means that it's not true at all~!

I'd really be surprised if this ends up being true. Casting a professional athlete with limited acting chops may have been popular 20 years ago, but today it's pretty damned risky. Rampage is probably about 1/20th as well known to the public as Cooper and Neeson. Remakes of old TV shows are not known for being risky. On the plus side, maybe TV Land will start playing reruns of the A-Team again.
