No disrespect here but this could affect shields future as a fighter. It must have cross his mind that he missed the chance to show his father he was the UFC champion. In other words either he could become extremely demotivated. A lot of sons want to make their fathers proud, remember DW’s speach: I wish my father was here to see this etc.
