Regardless of what your prediction is for this fight, studies indicate that this little clip will increase your excitement by about 30%. That may not sound like much, but we are told that 30% is a “measurable gain” that is “significant”. That comes from an “educated person” and their “college classes”. Gah. Don’t you just hate people that, like, know stuff?

Anyways, here’s something we don’t hate. Enjoy it now before someone get injured and pulls out.

@Duh Ogre

With this pussy is still sore from dropping the call on Fedor, I going all in with Jones. In this case, the kid has speed and accuracy advantages standing up. On the ground, his elbows are deadly. Power wise, I am unsure. Physical advantage, Jones. Psychological advantage, Jones.

"This is my career, this is my life" from Rampage, maybe until A-Team II comes out. He hasn't looked dominant in a long time. If several weeks of words with Rashad resulted in THAT performance, I don't see he training any harder now than he did then. The only chance Rampage may have is a lucky punch, since we haven't seen anyone test Jone's chin. But there's a reason for that, if you want to get within his reach, you usually get seriously hurt in the process.

Jones will absolutely wreck Rampage with style and grace. No doubt about it.

this should be an interesting fight none the less. jones is a bad ass, but what we havent seen yet from him is his ability to take a big punch , if page was to land a clean fist to his melon? could jones take it? im picturing in my head page vs wandy last go round and seeing wandy ktfo, but im also picturing rashad vs page where it was a crappy decision loss for page.
jones should be able to take this one easily within two rounds, but at the same time. anything can happen.

Great video!

Rampage's calls for getting 'his' belt back is just like Tito's and just as annoying.

30% Indeed.

I think Jones is the real deal. He has made people look very foolish in both the stand up and ground game. The Shogun fight was officially a Referee Stoppage but everyone can see Shogun decided to tap at the same time. If someone can make Shogun tap to strikes I am just going to go ahead and start believing the hype. I can't think of anyone in the LHW division that gives him a tough fight. The one guy who stands the best chance in Rashad, so it's understandable that some people are frustrated because it appears Jones might be ducking him.

I predict a 3rd round TKO for Jones.

@ Duh Ogre, Thoughts? Jones is the Real Deal
amsterdamheavy- August 1, 2011 at 8:05 pm
@Duh Ogre

Jones is a tool, but he's also a freak athlete with huge reach and a wrestling pedigree. I could also through in dynamic, and raw, striking ability.

Id liek to see Rampage come out and take it to him, violence unleashed, but that Rampage seems to be gone. Its a shame because We have seen anyone get up in Johnny Bones' grill like that and take it to him hard.

We'll see of course but I think that Rashad might be right (he would know right?), someone is going to have to grind this kid up for 4 or 5 rounds and make him break mentally. He havent seen anyone control him and keep him down yet. The only way it looks like hes going to lose outside of a "lucky" punch at this point is if he beats himself.

But fuck it, WAR Rampage anyway.
MMBB241- August 1, 2011 at 8:01 pm
My thoughts? It's horse shit that Bones can pull out of a fight, citing imminent hand surgery, just to flat out not have that happen, never mention it, and fuck Rashad. I don't see how this fight makes sense. I love Rampage but in his last three he lost to the #1 contender, won a split over Machida, and decisioned Hammill. In what way does this warrant a title shot? Rashad must be furious all of the time. And rightfully so.
That said, best of luck Rampage. I'm rooting for you.
Duh Ogre- August 1, 2011 at 7:34 pm
I'm still not sure if Jones is the real deal. Yeah, he's walked through all his opponents, but realistically, how many of them were top fighters in the LHW division? Shogun was coming off a knee injury, Bader obviously got exposed by Ortiz. Thoughts?

Really rooting for 'Page in this one, though realistically speaking he's got the proverbial "snowball's chance".
k-onda- August 1, 2011 at 6:21 pm
If Rampage could remember getting ktfo back in the day, he'd have half an idea of what he's in for.
