Former Diaz fan here, It is moronic for anyone to say this is a Dana conspiracy to keep GSP shielded. I'm no GSP fan, far from it but I do recognize he is the best fighter in his division and possibly best pound for pound, my problem with him is his safety first style. Seriously stop the shit talking, if Dana was so scared of GSP fighting Diaz why did he give Diaz the immediate title shot, without say giving him to Fitch or Koscheck. Dana listened to the fans on this one and gave all us Diaz fans a gift with this fight. Diaz ain't scared to fight, but clearly he is not prepared to and he deserves no special treatment here.

NFL players get fined upwards of 15k for not showing up to a presser after a game. Most other sports probably have something very similar to this. This stunt that Diaz pulled publicly humiliated Dana White and the UFC. I can't say I agree 100% with the decision, could have just fined him let's say half his purse, but I understand why he did it.

If Cesar couldn't get him to show up for two measly press conferences, how do you know he's going to show up for the fight itself? I'd rather make sure there's a fight than have some stupid announcement the day of that GSP is fighting some undercard guy instead.

Maybe Condit isn't the exact matchup I would replace Diaz vs GSP with, but I agree with the principle. Professional athletes get babied enough. Diaz needs to learn that there are consequences. Accountability is the principle at work here. If he got let off the hook, then he is in control and there's no accountability.

Really disappointed with how the UFC handles this. Unless there was no way they were going to get a healthy, on weight, medically cleared Diaz in the cage they should've done everything they could to make the fight. I am not going to blame the fighter here, the UFC should've been better organized on this one.

And Condit? I mean, sure, that's fine I guess but you gotta be kidding me if you think he'll win. In the last two years alone he owns a loss to Kampmann and Ellenberger and MacDonald gave him everything he could handle. I really don't see him doing much to GSP other than getting laid on for 25 minutes.
