@ Wilson and Fatbelly

Thanks guys, gave me a good laugh after a shitty night of work.

I couldn't believe the Sherk Dunham decision, that cost me 150 bones... For that fight I'll just agree with everything GetOffMe said.

Drunkard OUT
itsgalf- September 26, 2010 at 5:42 pm
Yeah...Dunham got robbed there. Just look at how many times Sherk was close to being finished. 2 Guillotines in the first round, 1 in the second, and he got manhandled on the feet in the 3rd.

Come on, give me a break

They're just trying to prepare us for when Jake Shields starts fighting.

And we seriously need to hang judges for decisions like Dunham Vs Sherk. I think one of them scored it 30-27. I can almost understand giving it 29-28 but... no fuck that; if it was 29-28 it still should have been for Dunham.
Dagnut- September 26, 2010 at 2:22 pm
@Dranokills..usually you make a point or a decent attempt at humour, a top poster, that was just vitriol.
King Kong Kim- September 26, 2010 at 12:54 pm
Anyone else lose their parlay because of the Dunham decision? Dunham-Mir-Bader FUCK!
vengful1- September 26, 2010 at 12:28 pm
I didn't blame DW for anything. Next time take your rage out on your wife. And I would destroy your ass at poker so blame wouldn't be an issue.
dranokills- September 26, 2010 at 12:12 pm
Goddamn people(vengeful1), you act like Dana White fucking owes you something or that Dana White fucking made those fights or that Dana White fought those fights, wise the fuck up, and put the blame where it belongs, on the fighters! How is it UFC fault cause a few fighters had a shitty fight? Stop talking stupid shit, you are like the fucktards who play poker and blame a machine or another person for the reason they lost, when in fact it was THEIR suckass playing that caused em to lose not that machine, or NOT that other player. If that is all you have to offer, fuck man stay off the goddamn board.
I blame the fighters for a boring fight, and thats why it WAS boring.
I wasn't really impressed with Lytle or serra, I thought it was a stupid game-plan, and I haven't seen that many swing and 'whiffs" since the last cubs game I watched, that was pathetic.
So was watching Jeremy stevens swing like a crazy fucking monkey at air all night.
The UFC is fine, and it's growing so don't be stupid. And Dana White didn't look like he was to damn happy with the PPV neither, but I bet the Fertitta's aren't pulling Dana aside and bitching in his ear, fuck no they all made big bucks, and all is good for business.

UFC 116 and 117 were both sick and 118 had its moments. Unfortunately you have to get a shitty event here and there but that just helps to make the next good event that much better. 120 and 122 are both going to be free and 121 is Lesnar vs. Velasquez. Should be some good ones coming up.

It's inevitable as the guys get better. We're seeing guys who are better and better at avoiding damage and that means more fights going to decision. I know we can't expect them to throw their chins at each other with reckless abandon but maybe if refs were able to give yellow cards for Couturing on fence that resulted in some sort of penalty and I hesitate to say a pay reduction because I think they already don't get payed enough.

I'm really taking a liking to Cole Miller. He's absolutely right about point fighting these days. Nice to see a guy with the balls to tell it like it is and then live up to his own words.

I still think Mir should have been given KO of the night. Dana White's a spiteful little child. Awww, your show not go the way you'd hoped? Tell it to your Kleenex box.
Dagnut- September 26, 2010 at 7:25 am
It gets duller and duller every event...
vengful1- September 26, 2010 at 3:10 am
Remember when CroCop used to do head kicks? Those were good times. I hope Mir doesn't think that he impressed anyone with his performance tonight. I haven't seen that much hugging since my "uncle" came to visit.

It's hard to get excited about the annual UK love fest after this shitacular ppv. The UFC just keeps getting more and more stale. I'm still waiting for DW to "make it up to the fans." Maybe beat Cecil Peoples to death?
DARKHORSE06- September 26, 2010 at 2:47 am
Im glad I didt get the fight and UFC 120 doesnt look much better. Did want to see Lytle and Serra though.

CroCop need to retire.

LOL RWilsonR, yeah his guts look like a Tara Reid publicity shot!
RwilsonR- September 26, 2010 at 1:00 am
Honestly, I kinda thought the worst decision the commission made the whole evening was to make Hunt and McCorkle cut down to 265. Between the excess skin and stretch marks I thought the fight was taking place in the maternity ward. During McCorkle's victory speech I could swear that I saw a c-section scar.
fatbellyfrank- September 26, 2010 at 12:27 am
I was about to go on a huge rant about Commision's , and ref's, and judges, but, its the judges, how anyone can say Sherk beat Dunham is beyond me, Seems to be one common denominator in a lot of shitty decision's, Cecil People's I'm looking straight at you. love to see which judge scored what
Get Off Me- September 26, 2010 at 12:12 am
cost me alot of money, I had a parlay of Bader-Dunham-Mir-Mitrione...
I am not sure if the ufc sets the criteria or has a hand in creating new rules that could fix this, but something has to give....this sport will not grow as big as it should with fighters winning fights like this.
fatbellyfrank- September 25, 2010 at 11:59 pm
@ Get off me, agree, the Dunham Sherk decision is the biggest heap of shit i can recall seeing, thats fucken robbery IMO, that shitty decision tarnished a fucken great fight.
Get Off Me- September 25, 2010 at 11:54 pm
Something really needs to be done about judging striking vs. grappling in MMA.
I think the Dunham decision was the worst I have ever seen in MMA. If a fight is judged on effective 1.striking, 2.grappling and 3.octagon control I fail to see where Dunham did not do 2 out of 3 better than Sherk in the last two rounds.
Not sure, but it looked like Sherk landed 1 takedown and had about 1:30 worth of Randy Couture against the fence in the second...the third was all dunham, maybe not 10-8, but sherk was being bounced off the fence by flying knees, straight lefts and right hooks for the entire round.
If this is what a winning performance is to MMA judges, I do not see too many strikers and BJJ's guys generally being able to play on the same playing field as is disgusting and whoever is responsible needs to be held accountable.
snoop dog shit- September 25, 2010 at 11:47 pm
There should have been three fight of the night awards. Lytle v Serra was a great fight.
And melvin definately fought a safe (boring) fight.
fatbellyfrank- September 25, 2010 at 11:34 pm
Mitrione /Beltran a better fight than Lyttle/Serra? fuck off
RwilsonR- September 25, 2010 at 11:29 pm
Mitrione & Beltran and Sherk & Dunham got FOTN over Lytle? I know Lytle wins these a lot, but that is two bonuses in a row he has been screwed out of. Bullshit!

I thought Dunham won, like everyone else. But one thing that pissed me off was that bullshit cut-check by the ref, followed by the standard restart. You don't stop the fucking fight when one person is in a dominant position, the person with the cut can't possibly be bleeding into their eyes from the position they are in, and then restart in a completely neutral position. Just shitty reffing, and Sherk got screwed out of causing more damage, while Dunham got a chance to recover. Taking that aside, Dunham looked awesome late in the fight.

And I love Joe Rogan, but his commentary on the Lil Nog/Bader fight was one of the worst I've heard out of him. It sounded like when Florian was sucking on the nuts of his training partner in his WEC commentary. Every time Nog would throw a jab Rogan would talk about how he was taking control of the stand-up and how Bader had no idea how to deal with it. Then Bader would tag Nog with two or three big shots and all we would hear was dead air out of Rogan. It was pathetic.
