Report: UFC to Host First Indiana Show This September

As first reported by MMA Junkie, the UFC is preparing to make its first-ever stop in the state of Indiana, as UFC 119 is on the docket for September 25th in Indianapolis. The Hoosier State began regulating mixed martial arts last year, and is finally being rewarded for their good behavior. At this point, the only rumored matchup on the card is a heavyweight tilt between Matt Mitrione and Joey "The Mexicutioner" Beltran, who were both victorious in their bouts at UFC 113. The show is expected to take place at the 18,000-seat Conseco Fieldhouse. As Indianapolis is dead-center in the middle of a state that’s sandwiched between Illinois and Ohio, you can expect to see a lot of Midwest talent on the card. However, Indiana-bred UFC standouts Jon Fitch and Chris Lytle would be unlikely to compete at the event due to prior engagements.

Yeah I think Meathead is a mildly amusing dude who can fight a bit, decent gatekeeper potential, not quite in Big Country's league but puts on a decent fight so far

I also like Meathead. He's a joy whenever a mic is in front of him. But, like with his brethren Chael Sonnen, we shouldn't mistake our enjoyment for their talent.

im from illinois and fighting in indiana might as well be fighting on the moon. Those folks are another breed of stupid all together. not sayin all of em are stupid but the majority speaks for the minority. seeing as its close to where i am depending on the card i might brave the throngs of "MEATHEADS" in attendence to see an ass whoopin or 2.

God damn that meathead. I despise this vegetable, but at the same time I have to admit he can fucking fight. With a REAL training camp and some more experience, he could be a factor. And damn him all to hell for it.
