If anything this should drive his value up. If people can think that dan is not one of the best 205 or 185lb fighters in the world then they should not even log on to make comments. Hendo has been doing this for along time and has proved himself against the best. Everybody can say that he is a little older but that in my mind makes him tougher. He has’nt slowed down and has do nothing but got smarter with age. UfC needs to keep him to still have the best 185lbers, they cannot let the other venues take him or they will be losing money to the venues. More people will pay to watch their shows instead of paying to watch UFC’s PPV’s.
If the Ufc is trying to see how valuable he is then i’ll say it.

UFC, I beg you please to pay the man. He is one of the best 185 lbs guys in the world. Additionally he will give a more exciting fight/evenly matched against Silva at 185.
Honestly I think that only Lyoto and Rashad may match up better vs Silva and they are 205.
The 185 division is a bit weak in general and to take out one of the best guys would be devastating.
Additionally if Henderson signs with Strikeforce and fights at 205, then all of a sudden they have a pretty solid 205 division there.

Ok UFC, if you’re listening: Pay the man. He got Knockout of the Night at UFC 100, and he saved the show. In my honest oppinion if it weren’t for Dan Henderson’s knockout-of-the-year finish, UFC 100 would have been a waste of money.

Hendo is a true American hero. He’s still taking his training seriously. He’s got undeniable skill and talent and his blood must be made of wine because he seems to be improving with age.

What if Anderson Silva dies in a plane crash and you need a replacement champion? And hey he can fight at two different weight classes, another bonus.

By saying publicly that the UFC has washed its hands of Hendo, Coker doesn’t have to worry about offering enough money to pull Hendo away. Hendo, therefore, won’t get as good of a deal with Coker, which could drive Hendo back to the UFC once he sees Coker pay him shit. If the article’s right, DW’s savvy as hell. Of course, we already knew that, though, didn’t we?
