Which MMA Fighter Will Test Positive For Steroids Next?

Ryan Bader vs. Tito Ortiz Targeted for UFC 132 July 2

It looks like Ryan Bader will getting the fight he wants for his next bout.

Bader mentioned last month in an interview with ESPN on the heels of his UFC 126 loss to Jon Jones that before he retires, he would like to square off with Tito Ortiz and according to MMAWeekly he will get his wish.

“I would want to fight Tito Ortiz,” Bader told “Just because I grew up watching him. I want to have one of those guys on my résumé like a Randy Couture or Chuck Liddell. Purely out of respect, he’s one I’d like to fight before my career is over.”

Both fighters confirmed the bout was a go on Twitter today, but did not name a date or venue. The MMAWeekly report states that the pair will square off at UFC 132 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, NV.

UFC president Dana White has stated that Ortiz, who is 0-3-1 in his last four outings and has not won a fight since 2006 will likely be cut if he loses one more bout in the Octagon, revealing that he thought about letting the former light heavyweight champion go after his last loss to Matt Hamill at UFC 121 in October. “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” prolonged his stay in the UFC, at least by one more fight by pulling out of his last bout. He was scheduled to face Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at UFN 24 March 26, but was had to bow out of the bout after sustaining a laceration over his eye and a concussion after clashing heads with a training partner.

The Bader-Ortiz bout will likely serve as the co-main event of the card headlined by the Jon Fitch-BJ Penn UFC 127 rematch.

I see Tito getting another injury close to this..last thing he wants is to be manhandled by another wrestler.

Whack ass fans... Penn Fitch 2 is dope along with all the fights on this card except the Ortiz/Bader. Bader is a homo for wanting to fight Tito "My Heads a Target" Ortiz, but really Bader will have a new opponent 2 weeks before the bout!

"Doctors' said i needs a backy-odd-oh-me"

@mattyr31: haha...Dr. Tito has giant head-itis..or soft neck syndrome.

And I am not impressed with their Twitter performances.
Bomber Man- March 21, 2011 at 5:12 pm
Tito is already looking for a reason to make this a trilogy.
mattyr31- March 21, 2011 at 4:39 pm
So how soon is Tito going to pull out of this fight?
RwilsonR- March 21, 2011 at 3:49 pm
@ Main Blazer - usually the July 4th weekend is the most stacked card of the year. I imagine it will have another fight as the headliner. When is Brock fighting Dos Santos?
DangadaDang- March 21, 2011 at 2:45 pm

That is the exact reason Tito has never found success in Hollywood. Directors find themselves unable to back up far enough.

Don't know what's worse, the grammar in the tweets or in the article.

I think Wiman v. Siver and Guillard v. Roller will both be great fights, the others look a little 3 rd decisionesque to me.

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait... Penn Fitch 2 is gonna be the headliner? Again? Really?
intercept440- March 21, 2011 at 1:02 pm
yea RWR i agree that is the consolation prize or the silver lining is to watch tito get his big head punched... but its just that whoever beats up tito , doesnt do a good enough job... he fucking keeps coming around.

# he must have contracted some mutant virus from jenna's ass cavity that makes him perpetually abable to come back and take beating after beating , just like her ass takes load after load

# just once he needs the human equivelent of a super antibiotic to wipe him off the face of MMA for good

A lot of people have misquoted Bader. He didn't say he wanted to fight Tito specifically, he said he wanted to fight a legend like Tito, Randy, or Chuck. People just latch into Tito because Chuck is retired and Randy is tied up and may retire with a loss.

Plus like Wilson said, people wanna see Tito get his ass kicked
ccman- March 21, 2011 at 12:56 pm
this seriously smells of a loss of confidence to me.
RwilsonR- March 21, 2011 at 12:39 pm
I've said this before, but who cares what sense this makes for Bader or the division. Logical match making can take a back seat when we get the chance to see Tito get beaten to a bloody pulp.
Lopes- March 21, 2011 at 12:36 pm
I kind of hope that Bader loses to the has-been that hasn't won a fight in like 5 years.
fACE7biter- March 21, 2011 at 12:32 pm
Not the best card I've ever seen... especially for a card without a title fight, I'm going to the bar for this one.
Spicymeatball- March 21, 2011 at 12:16 pm
Look on the bright-side it can't be as bad as UFC 119.
theSpud- March 21, 2011 at 12:07 pm
also Bader is a bitch for choosing Tito "the has been".
LOKI- March 21, 2011 at 12:07 pm
When I heard he was injured I was so sure they woulda put Chito against the parennial +1 Franklin, but in a sick and twisted sorta way I half wanted him to get pitted against the Shogun/Jones loser. This is...meh.
theSpud- March 21, 2011 at 12:07 pm
i couldn't be less looking forward to this card.
intercept440- March 21, 2011 at 12:04 pm
exaclty taco, how does he aviod getting stuck in a door way even
intercept440- March 21, 2011 at 12:04 pm
As to why bader would fight a nobody at this point (which tito is)is anyone guess, but how can it even be seen as a positive that anyone beats tito now days, this one is bad for bader in my opionion, he needs a top contender type fighter, not some fucking Giant headed has been, i see this as a loss for bader period on the bright side, we will finally see the ending of tito.
Fried Taco- March 21, 2011 at 12:01 pm
How does he avoid clashing heads with his training partners? Or anyone else walking anywhere near him?
