The latest installment in THQ’s UFC Undisputed franchise hits stores next week, and from all accounts, the 2010 edition beats the crap out of last year’s. Besides the new playable characters and improvements to the gameplay, the create-a-character and career mode functions have been nicely tuned-up. (You now have the ability to disrespect your opponents at weigh ins, for one thing.) And check this out: If you pre-order the game from Walmart Gamecenter, you’ll receive a $10 e-gift card as a token of their appreciation.
But that’s not the only reason to swing by Gamecenter today. While you’re there, take a look at their exclusive video feature with Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Forrest Griffin, and Todd Duffee giving their thoughts on the game, and the career mode tutorial with Black House manager Ed Soares. So do yourself (and us) a favor and click here…

commentsPS- That cover WILL be obsolete July 4th when Carwin wakes up with a wicked hangover and a nice new Heavyweight Championship Belt to soothe his headache.
Maybe I underestimate the correlation of fighting game purchasers and WWE watchers.
As far as this game goes, well..."I'd buy that for a dollar!"
Thanks for the reminder!!
1. Preorder the game from bestbuy and you get 20 dollars off your next UFC pay-per view event.
2. If you buy the game you get the online code for free. You only have to pay for the code if you buy it used.
Hope this helps.
I previously read where EA was planning on doing that to all of their 2010 games, especially their sports games (Madden 2011, Tiger Woods 2011, etc.) and expected others to follow suit (THQ, Ubisoft). Though I usually hate what EA does (marketing and public relations wise) and this limits what I'll buy used in the future, they actually have a sound reason behind the move and not just a purely unabashed cash grab.
* this game is made by thq , not ea....ea is always looking for more money so expect the extra download fee on ea mma whenever that might come out
Don't worry, Carwin will fix that soon enough.
I'd pick it up used but the price gouging the used game market plan everyone (EA) has going on isn't really my style. Not that MS would do shit, but I would think locking part of the game unless you pay money would violate their Achievement agreement. Namely: you can't release a game with any of the 1000 point worth of achievements requiring the user to buy something else. They pulled this with Fable 2, but no one gave a shit.
Yea, that seems to be the direction that a lot of new games are moving. Mass Effect 2 did a similar thing where if you bought new you could access material without paying for it. Motivation to not buy used materials and more money in the developers pockets.
Game looks great! I don't know if I will get it, I sunk a lot of hours into the first one and got my ass handed to me by little foulmouthed 12 year olds who were always online or who would unplug their internet connection right before I could win. Takes the fun out of online.
I'm already paying for xbox live. IMO that's some weak ass shit.
