Shane Carwin Talks Recovery, His Next Fight and Possibly Training With Fedor

Shane Carwin appeared on Comcast Sportsnet’s Fight Fix recently to expound on the tidbit revealed by Fedor Emelianenko during the Strikeforce conference call last week that he was planning on training with the former UFC interim heavyweight champ in the near future. According to Carwin, his management reached out to the former PRIDE heavyweight champion to try to set up a pairing between the heavyweight superpowers.
Carwin explained that besides the obvious, the reason why he instigated talks with The Last Emperor’s camp were Fedor’s humility, faith in God and family values.

As far as his recovery from his neck injury, Carwin says that he is on track to get off the bench for a planned main event bout in June at UFC 131, but says that no opponent has been named as of the time of the interview. 

Hopefully if he does ever end up training with Fedor for the bout, he records it so we can see how he fares.

Ok, but dribbles don't count, and you have to come over and watch. For judging and record keeping purposes.....

If you're not in the area we can use webcams. I do it on chat roullette a lot, it will be fine.

I do love Carwin, he is a good guy but like you all are saying ...he looks small. Maybe from not being able to train properly? I know im a huge Mir fan but the disrespect Brock showed the sport made me completley dislike the guy. I wanted the best for him before the first, even the second Mir fight but getting in a guys face like thAT IS HORRIBLE AND GARBAGE. I know its old but it's wrong and I don't believe he has changed.

He got lucky my boy Frank thinks he can take any punch, let alone about 10!! if not for the overwhelming confidence my boy Mir has Carwin wouldnt have worn himself out! Mir would have knocked Brock out. Thats an honest opinion, not even trolling!!

Carwin never misses an opportunity to take a dump on the UFC. The commercial and DFW both say Anderson in P4P best. Carwin says "one of the P4P" best, most likely having GSP at 1. But, then again, when you have trash dumpsters for hands you can do pretty much whatever the hell you want.
