Smack Talk is Against Brett Rogers’ Probation Conditions

(“Well old sport, I look forward to matching skills with you in the chain link-enclosed competition area.”)

According to a report from the Apple Valley Patch, Brett Rogers could land himself back in the clink if he breaches any one of his several probation requirements when he is released from jail later this month.

Most notably, “Da Grim” is forbidden from participating in “assaultive or intimidating behavior toward anyone,” which means that telling his upcoming DREAM opponent Tim Sylvia that he was going to “hurt, maim, or kill” him would be contrary to the terms of his release.

He will also be required to submit a DNA sample to the national registry, complete a domestic abuse education program and will be monitored for chemical dependency — namely alcohol which is said to have fueled his attack on his wife. He will also have no contact with his wife until he is authorized to do so by the treatment program and his probation officer, meaning he probably won’t see his family at Christmas.

If Rogers meets all of the requirements, he will not have a criminal record, since all of the charges were reduced from felonies to misdemeanors.

His lawyer, Murad Mohammad released the following statement regarding his client’s sentencing:

“We are pleased with the result. Obviously we wanted no jail time but given the circumstances it could have gone a lot worse,” he wrote. “We are thankful that the judge agreed with some of our major points. The bottom line is Brett will walk out of this without a felony [after fulfilling the conditions of his probation] and that is what is important.”

Maybe we’re wrong, but isn’t what is important is that his wife can rest assured that something like this is never going to occur again?

Here are Rogers’ complete probation conditions:

No assaultive or intimidating behavior toward anyone
Complete a domestic abuse education program
Submit to chemical dependency evaluation
Submit to random chemical testing
Provide a DNA sample
No contact with wife until authorized by treatment program and probation department

Taunting is a better description, its so much more fun. Most laugh, and some shrink, then lash back out.
Men taunt each other...some call it goading. But it's just talk, and talk is cheap, right?
Bakersfield...wheww. At least you didn't say CSU - Fresno. There is someone I know of living in Fresno, and if we ever cross paths - I will smash his face in - then boot stomp his jaw against the closest curb. Absent me going there, it's just nice thought.
Since you asked, the school I attend is located in La Jolla - San Diego California.
Pig_Pen, where do you live?

It will be the last stipulation of those conditions that will land Roger's back in jail before this fight happens, and it gets called off. Calling it right now
Pen Fifteen- December 5, 2011 at 10:53 pm
I could point out to you that I never said Rogers deserved 10 years for beating his old lady, or that I never suggested you said XYZ, but it's just the typical smokescreen that accompanies every comment you make, and it's painfully transparent at this point. "Talking shit" to try and get a rise out of someone on the internet is referred to as "trolling." Try googling "tautology," you dumb fuck. I know that you think taking a continuing education class at Cal State-Bakersfield or whatever shithole town you live in makes you the smartest guy on the board...but it doesn't.

@Pen Soon Turns Sixteen
I never said Faber's sister should do 10 years in jail. All I said is that crash was her fault, and after reading about her injuries said "..better her than me."

So if you think that is still hilarious (or mean and callous), all I can say is, "better you than me."
Stop with the TROLL comments...just say it, I talk shit. Who around here doesn't? Using the word troll dates your age.
The most likely derivation of the word troll can be found in the phrase "trolling for newbies", popularized in the early 1990s in the Usenet group, alt.folklore.urban (AFU).
I like manhandling little newbies - the younger the better, From the play-PEN up until age FIFTEEN is the best. (GRIN)
Talk about a fucking imagination. Closest, I ever said I got to Phnom-PEN, was when in Thailand. Ohh, never tried opium...had to submit to urinalysis testing back then. It was all over the place..and cheap.
I did consider renting one of the many private islands off the coast of Pattaya Beach. It was cheap for 3-4 days, and the offer was to stock it with anything from alcohol, to cocaine, two twin sister hookers, or all kinds of surplus armaments left by the U.S. military during their rapid departure from Vietnam.
I wanted to bring the "hookers and blow", but when the hospitality company had trouble locating a case of RPG's and Stoner submachine guns...I balked.
Partying on a private island was fine, but without being able to go fishing without high grade explosives - been there, done that.
So Baby-Pen, before you turn 18, give me a ring on the telephone and daddy will come by, pick you up, and give you one free ride!

who is brett rogers?
Pen Fifteen- December 5, 2011 at 4:38 pm
Also, I'm waiting for XENO to rationalize his position by telling us about the time he awoke from an opium-induced bender somewhere between the border of Cambodia and Laos, minus a testicle, and married a hair-lipped prostitute named Wong Lee, whom he had to beat within an inch of her life in order to get the formula for the antidote to poison he was injected with by a shifty Nepalese pimp. If he hadn't beaten his wife within an inch of her life in this situation, XENO would have been buried in a shallow grave outside of Phnom Penh instead of being here today to share all his completely true, totally not fabricated at all stories with the fortunate readership of CP.

How about this; why not try letting out, say, about 5 non-violent offenders (probably either drug users or dealers) to make room one wife-beating scumbag for 12 months or so? Surely that would save the state of Minnesota some money that could be better spent elsewhere. Hilarious that the guy who would shit on a 19-year-old girl for 'endangering the lives of others' would be found days later championing the right of a domestic batterer to sort out his family problems on his own. If you're going to be a troll, you should at least try to be consistent.

Troll much X ?
I guess you dont have any wife or daughters or sisters or nieces or shred of human decency...
Or are you still sulking?

@Pen "when you gonna turn" Sixteen
woo woo woo....
how do you mix up Rogers domestic case with the funding of state schools and national infrastructure.
In California it costs nearly $50,000 per year to keep someone in state prison. You say Rogers deserves 10 years for fighting with his wife, (rolling eyes) Who in their right mind would suggest spend $500,000 over a fight with ones wife?
More reasonable would be fine him $50-250 bucks, a few out-of -pocket with a therapist, and call it what it was - a rough night for the Roger's family.
You fucks and your drama about other peoples private lives - need to jump off a bridge head first.
ArmFarmer- December 5, 2011 at 1:08 pm
I'm confused... dropping from felany to misdemeanor means it's no longer criminal? Are you trying to say I don't actually have a criminal record then? Well I'll be damned.

This is the biggest win of Brett Roger's career. The fact that he doesn't have to see his beast of a wife for the next 45 or so days will be like living at club med for this guy. He probably wont miss drinking until he is back with her.
Pen Fifteen- December 5, 2011 at 11:14 am
Christ, what a load of bureaucratic bullshit, all to give Rogers the opportunity to avoid 'having a criminal record.' Incredible that we can't find money to fund our schools adequately or properly maintain public infrastructure, but when it comes to surveilling and 'rehabilitating' wife-beaters, our country spares no expense. Of course, if he had been caught smoking crack, instead of physical harming another human being, the guy would probably be serving a 10-year sentence.

Is fiending on purple drank considered chemical dependancy?
el_timbo- December 5, 2011 at 11:05 am
I have a feeling he's not going to make it all the way through his probation before screwing up. Just going with my gut here.

That, or his DNA is going to open up something, Joe Son style, and he's gonna go to jail for something heinous besides beating the hell out of his wife.

Big Timmah has nothing to fear because he's not a little kid. I have Tim winning this by superior in fight shit stains.
