Well, Kharitonov‘s good and all, even though he got handled by Jeff Monson in his last fight — but we hope Coker and FEG can get a little more creative than that. A "Strikeforce vs. DREAM" co-promoted card would be appropriately epic, with DREAM’s stable of lightweights (Joachim Hansen, Shinya Aoki), welterweights (Marius Zaromskis, Hayato Sakurai) and middleweights (Jason Miller, Ronaldo Souza) going up against guys like Nick Diaz, Jake Shields, Gilbert Melendez, Josh Thomson, Cung Le, and Jay Hieron. And maybe this will even inspire Strikeforce to launch its own Super Hulk Tournament. (Shaquille O’Neal vs. Don Frye, anybody?) Oh, if only…
In a related story, MMA Junkie reports that Strikeforce’s contract with Fedor Emelianenko isn’t completely exclusive. Under the current terms, Fedor will still be able to compete internationally, in other organizations — for example, in those Japanese New Year’s Eve shows that he used to be so fond of. Because nothing rings in the new year better than beating the crap out of some sad freak. And if you can get paid for it, even better.

Is it just me or is Coker putting a bulls eye on his back. Affliction just got added to Dana’s tombstone does Coker really want Strikeforce to be next?
